Game running super fast

It seems that after a short time in game,say 10-30 minutes,my character animations freeze and my movement really speeds up.I can still play but it really is annoying.
Anyone else having this same problem as me?
Everything in game runs at an insane super speed, it's pretty much unplayable.

Sounds like a multi core processor issue. I think there are fixes listed on this board, otherwise I know there are threads over on the eqemulator boards listing fixes.

Edit: Saw this was in the SoD forum. Didn't think SoD had multi core issues, but I could be wrong. Sounds exactly like what happens on Ti without taking care of the issue though.

If you run an AMD CPU, you may need to load the AMD Optimizer.

I run into this problem sometimes when multi-boxing on SoD, and I think it may be some kind of resources issue. Seems that if I reboot my PC, it resolves the issue for quite a while. Though, my issue sounds a bit different from yours, as my accelerated speeds start even at character select. If char select is normal, then I don't ever have the problem. This makes me think you are still having some multi-core CPU issues. While SoD does correct most multi-core CPU issues, there may still be some on some systems, but they should be able to be resolved one way or another depending on your hardware and OS.

This topic has been dead a few months, but wanted to add in my issue with this.


After messing around with the dual core bug and AMD Optimizer not working and just annoyed at having to disable a core every single time I wanted to play, I decided one day to get rid of Titanium and try out SoD. Well, not only is SoD smoother and loads faster zoning etc.. It also got rid of the dual core bug. I think there is something in the Titanium Client that causes the dual core bug. So at the end of the day, my advice, get SoD version or maybe even SoF/UF (though I haven't tried those 2).

the issue is basically Titanium clients and older dont support dual core computers (they are just too old) SoF + does. (sony finally updated their clients with SoF+ to support them)
