Pal vs SK agro

Hello. I run with a couple friends on this server, one of which plays the MT for our raid group who is an SK(I play a paladin.) We both have donor weapons and ~500+ AA each. We are both maxed in #mystats and he beats me by ~1.5k ac or more. The problem we have is that in long fights I (pally) will pull aggro quite often even while he spams his normal rotation + ToV pants. All I do with the pally is autoattack. I run with kiss of life in my sword while he runs with true hate procs.

Are we doing something wrong here or does aggro maybe need to be balanced a little more for this situation? Thanks!

(P.S. we are going to be trying using enchanter visage line but, all things considered, it shouldn't come to that IMO. We are basically twin classes and he both Out gears me AND is actively trying to gain agro )

Pally donor proc is a group heal - You can bet that's the source of aggro

Yep. There is just no great way for me to kill aggro- bar waiting like, 5+ % hp on boss mobs- to engage... SK with more ac and a 7k per tick self heal should be taking the hits, not me!

You could not use the donor weapon during those fights while he is tanking. If he drops down, or his defensive is down and its your turn to tank, etc, then swap back to the donor. If the fight is trival, use the donor, and use it for trash and grouping etc. But if the raid hit is tough and ping pong aggro is bad, grab another weapon. Maybe a two hander so you dont lose too much dps. Depends on your AA. You can still use the clicky etc. On long fights you should be able to swap back to the donor after letting the SK set aggro longer.

ya id use get and use a 2h weapon on your pally when your not tanking.

also, make sure the SK is using his self buff hate mod boost.
