Ahh by 'football' you mean rugby for people who are a bit of a pansy and need to wear a helmet, and big pads, and dont actually kick the ball very much? (American football)

Or 'football' where you actually kick a 'ball' with your 'foot'? (Proper football)

Or 'Aussie rules football' which as far as I can make out it made up of players called 'bruce' who try to kill each other for no obvious reason other than they have a ball.

Aussie rules? Isn't that what we called "smear the queer" when I was a kid? No definable goal aside from hold the ball and run away as long as you can before you get murdered in a brutally tragic football accident involving everyone else on the field and your face? Yeah, much more exciting than american football and makes about as much sense when the day is done.

But then again, I may just be bitter because my team hasn't been good since the Cowboys vs Redskins rivalry when I was a tyke.

Pretty much sums it up for me. I'm personally not really a fan of most american sports anywho, but I have this thing about liking the Redskins. And, as much as I hate to admit it at times, i'm a "As long as some one from Texas is winning I don't care." guy. This, much to my general dismay, does include the Cowboys. Football is more of a social thing for me you see, I have to have a default team to root for. It will always be the Skins or some of from Texas in football.
