Yea sorry to waste your time but parses not done on thf just arent accepted. Our version of a controlled environment is weapons we have available to use, parsed from the back of the dummies in the forest or guildhall. Best bet is if gamparse is used to export it to html and copy the detailed information to the forum as I did or greys screenshot.

I think what your trying to say with your parse is that lowering the delay to 20 on 2handed weapons evens it out, as far as I know there isnt a 140/20 weapon droppable in game unless im mistaken. Thats something for the devs to dwell over, you start lowing 2h weapons delay down to 1h weapon delay and you turn into every other solo server out there. I dont think thats something the devs want. Thats kinda the trade off of having the big damage weapon is that its a bit slower. You lower delays on 2h weaps down to the same as 1h youd prolly be opening a whole other can of worms lol.

Why not just say 2h weapons are more accurate than 1h weapons and have bigger damage at the cost of being a bit slower and call it a day? Right now the current skill mod is roughly the same at tier 8 19-23% actually I think 2h get the 23%. I do not think anyone would whine about 2h users getting higher skill mods where as you might get some people complaining about lowering the delay of 2h weapons down to that of 1h. Due to my connection issues I spent the day playing around on one of those solo servers, its alot different from the challenge you have here at thf, in the end everyone is practically identical you have wizards tanking gods, warriors hitting for 600k, rogues bsing over a mil or two. There has to be limits we just dont want those limits to hinder 1 classes play style or ability.

I did 140/20 because it's the same ratio as 2 x 70/20 and I was comparing apples with apples. That's why I used a controlled environment rather than testing with the 'closest match available' on THF.

If you increase 2H hit rate to balance DPS, what happens in 2 expansions when 1H hit rate is capped and 2H hit rate is .... you guessed it, capped at the same value. You'll have exactly the same 'problem', and the solution will be to balance it with damage/delay.

But look, I know when I'm out of my league. I don't have your in depth understanding of game balance and how the game code works, so think I'll step back and let the experts figure this one out.

Hmm I dont think you understand what we are saying but I dont want this become a flame thread I do appreciate what you are saying in regards to the math.

I am just looking at a slight boost for those not using tier7 items.
Obviously nothing on par with higher tiers, it needs to be balanced to the tier of content but with several weapons lacking a % skill mod it can be rough on them.

Agree, becomes a flame fest and the devs will lock it down and we have lost all we have discovered and debated about. Lets keep it civil and work towards an end. Simply stated some skill mods are lacking or absent that needs to be addressed more than anything else.

On a mod note, if they left 1h accuracy at 23% 25% for donor would be no reason to raise it higher. No reason to make them both max. Thats your downfall for duel wielding, more hits lower accuracy, 2h more accuracy less hits.

I think we all got the point already. We will look at this at the appropiate time, as always. Sorry if things do not get fixed/handled/corrected/improved as fast as you all might like, but remember we are very few and very busy :)

This is probably the most interesting discussion i have ever seen on class balancing on the forum.

Good to have heated challenging debate at times, often brings out the desired outcome when not expected.
