Turn in problems with CoM Quest and Karnor's Quest

I have experienced this problem on two characters now, where I will have all of the quest pieces required and the quest giver will not recognize that I have them, nor will my task window either. I try to give the pieces to the quest giver but he says he will not accept them. I'm not sure what to do as I cannot finish the quests without them recognizing it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

IIRC the quest only updates when you loot the item - so make sure you ahve the quest then go out and loot the items.
