Curious why no one runs a DKP raid guild on THF.
If one ever starts make sure to msg me.

most likely cause guilds have very few actual members (under 20), so gear is distributed on "need" bases.
But yeah, I can't imagine a decent size guild run without DKP

At one point, DR was putting a DKP system together, but the membership wanted an easier loot system and the project was scrapped. It comes down to nobody wanting to keep track of points.

I agree the guild sizes. But also zones re-spawn so frequently its more like well ill get later this week not in 6months. So creates a more relaxed feel. Much more enjoyable you ask me.

I just wanted to see if anyone uses it, if anyone does ever use it.
Like to see how they do it.
Always looking to discuss random topics and DKP I feel really strongly about.
In my own opinion its the best system out there.
If you raid you can bid on stuff you want.
Do not want this to go anywhere negative so I'll leave it at that.

Used myraids.com 10/2010-12/2010 when heavily recruiting THF freshies for progression through the mid tiers. It was helpful to discern true need, and to ensure those who had invested the most time had more than a random chance at reward.

That site worked pretty well and it has a calendar, a forum, a pre-populated item database (for the zones that aren't 100% custom), etc. Posting a current points list into EQ required several regular expressions in notepad++ to pull out excess information from the roster list. That was my only beef with it.

It seems like most guilds on THF end up much smaller and tighter in terms of friendship to the point where DKP or even /random are rarely needed.

Good post Droonkan and I generally agree but some people have pretty bad luck.
Myself I can count on less then 10 fingers the total number of times I have won on /random playing on 3 EQEMU servers.
Actually its why i usually will ask pickups to /random against me for items since I generally will lose and when I win I am happy. Most content I could farm solo but it can be a real pita at times if I make a mistake.
I'll check out your link

yeah I had horrible luck with randoms back on LIVE
I think I won like only 1 good times during entire 5 years of play =)
I remarkable loss on /random I remember went like this:

After LDON mission, master looter asks the group to roll 100 on named drops.
3 guys decline to roll, due to not needing the item
1st guy rolls - 11!
group: omg thats sucks!
2nd guy rolls - 2!!
group - OFMG!!!!!!
then I roll - 0
At this point group is dieing from laughing
