Berserking Apes (Quest) problem?

Hi there,

I started on Alt-P almost a week ago and now that I'm @ stonebrunt Mountains I noticed all the mobs in 1 spot. I searched on this and found that mobs "falling under world" were placed @ 1 spot to fix a bug (I think).

I would really like to further my progression (in alt-p) and finish the quest "Berserking apes" but I think I will need to kill some Gorilla mobs to do so and I don't think I can with them (the berserk gorillas) placed together with a lot of other mobs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
-Will

They should start to roam after a few seconds/minutes all over the zone. I can't recall why ChaosSlayer put them on one starting spot tho. o.O

Okay, I just zoned so maybe it will be changed when I get back. Although I was there for ~an hour and they still sat there. So long as they move sometime I'll be fine though. :)

Something is indeed wrong with the pathing, we'll look into it. Mean time try to take some revenge on the camps, they are static, unstacked. ;)

considering zone has about 1200 roaming mobs, making individual roam path was a nightmare, so i grouped them into packs of 30, and used roam-box feature for them to start spreading around after zone boots.
Unfortunately roam box doesn't work very well with frequently changing zone geometry, like SB has, which ends up in mobs keep falling under the world a lot.

the longer the zone stays up, the more mobs end up falling under. My best suggestion is to either: hunt mobs that roam around some flat-land section, or reset the zone - by relogging or zonning every hour or so.

PS. ...OR fix the roam-box code to work with zones that have a lot of ups and down ;)

Would this help with the blood shot eyes as I haven't seen them roam the last 2 days.

Is there any way a GM could perhaps just put the eyes in my stash or bank? The solutions you mention seem like workarounds cept for coding, but that's longer term (and said partly in jest? :D )

I can change the zone back to dynamic on next reboot (atm it's static). That might "solve" the issue.

I rebooted the zone to ease the situation until next reboot. :)

Edit: didn't help at all. ><

Darn. It's the only quest I have left before I get the main quests from lin (the main kejek).

Oh well. Maybe a player had some extra eyes from before on Alt-P and I'll get lucky. :)
