Petition to become a Wiki Editor

Hello,

Love the server and I have entirely too much free time on my hands. Contributing to the wiki would make my life easier because I spend a lot of time on it. It'd be nice if it was updated and accurate.

I'd like to check all the links, and add missing quested items. The list of things needing help is really too long to post here, but we also need links in more then one place so things can be accessed easier.

Anyway, if you need to ask me any questions, I'm available anytime. Let's make the wiki something that makes THF stand out even more!

As I have received a couple of "complaints" about the wiki, I would like to point out that it is not the GMs/DEVs job to have a series of pages where we explain step by step a quest, or where we post how to defeat an encounter or event. What would be the point of the devs/gms to have a spoiler page?

This is the realm of the players -- where they can share their experiences on how to defeat a mob, how to complete a quest the fastest way, etc.

I just wanted to clarify as I heard some rumors of people complaining that the "devs are not keeping up the wiki"

We thank the contributors to the wiki, as it is a very valuable tool for players.

Now to our regular programming!! (pun intended)

I think that's a very good point, Micah!

A W I K I is a "what I know is",,, which may or may not be accurate, as opposed to a W Y D I, meaning, "what you do is"... which is what I would expect from a programmer..

The Wiki is a helpful tool, but I use it only when I'm so frustrated my computer is about ready to fly.

Thank you to all that participate in making the WIKI a useful tool, and thanks to the devs for doing all that they do!

People are silly, so is Micah silly or a gnome?

Only issue I ever had with the wiki was the approach taken in the past of "If its not THF custom it gets deleted" whats the point of a wiki if you are restricted in such a way.
Sure I can write up how quest XYZ in DSK rewards you with lewt_0201 but I should also be able to write up same task/quest with said reward and what about why I think its a great task/item and how I found it useful.

Anyways its nice to see people that want to contribute to the wiki and hope they do a great job.

dropping in to say thanks for the wiki updates already. i'm getting close to 70+ content and will welcome the additional information since i'm still pretty newbish.

i'd like to hijack this thread to also petition to get access to edit the wiki.

i am slowly progressing through the content with a friend. we check the wiki quite often for information and very often find a lack thereof in it.

..and the fact that i have some spare time online, but not enough to actually play, on some weekdays, makes we want to fill in those empty pages.

long story short: i'd like to contribute please ^^

Spoke with Lillu on becoming a wiki editor, PM'd Micah. Is there something else I should do? Would like to at least fix a few link issues and add a little info here and there. Looking forward to giving a little more back than a few small donations here and there.
