Try running both as administrator to see if that alleviates your issue. MQ is working fine for me and I use both. I've made a "hello world" type of script that has worked, though I've read more than once that scripts don't work for those using both. Not sure though what type of scripts they are trying to run exactly either, fwiw.

I've found ISBoxer can do anything I can dream up.

My knowledge of programing is limited. All I have been able to do is use keystrokes, which has been of great help, but it has its limitations. All other functionality seems to be beyond my capabilities. Specially variable keys, would love to get them setup, not sure how to even start that.

Further, I make group with my No 2 Slot being the group leader, even though my Tank is Slot 1.

I would love to get this working for targeting and assist purposes.

Currently I use Hotbank 1 for clicky activation as F1-to F10 on all characters which actually works.

Slot 1 (War) - CTRL
Slot 2 (RNG) - ALT
Slot 3 (CLR) - SHIFT
Slot 4 (SHM) - CTRL ALT
Slot 5 (WIZ) - may use CTRL SHIFT
Slot 6 (BRD) - may Use SHIFT ALT

I can output 1 to 0, which is the actual EQ functionality. Love it.

Which leaves me SHFT CTRL ALT to try to get the variable keys to work.

I have a suspicion that I am making it more complicated then Am It has to be

I tried to turn administrator on MQ2 (2 programs - forget name), should I run Isboxer as administrator?

ISBoxer already starts as administrator, though, right clicking and running as administrator wouldn't hurt to be 'sure'. This is the reason MQ has to be run as administrator, because ISBoxer does. That's a Windows aspect, whether or not ISBoxer and MQ2 play well together entirely is a different subject. Of the scripts I've written/tested, it's worked thus far, but, they're hardly using any of the more interesting and frankly, "iffy" functions. What script are you trying to run?

The only hotkey I've ever used is one for special attacks (usually just '1'), ones for a dps burst (use discs/clickies), and ones to switch to a different char. For switching chars I use numberpad 0-9 where each char has their own number.

The reason for this is because I'm so used to playing the actual class that they all have their own key setup that's I'm used to.. so if I want the cleric to heal for example, I just hit num-2 and then 4. If I was to setup a key for all the different things I wanted each class to do, I'd need to do the mega memory course (tm) to remember them all efficiently.

An alternative to setting up tons of keys is using click bars. You can set up onscreen buttons and assign key maps to them. E.g. click a button onscreen for the cleric to heal.

You can also setup views from other chars screens as well. For example with the newest client there is an extended target window which keeps track of all aggro'd mobs. You can place an enchanter's extended target window on the warriors screen, so that clicking a mob in that window will make the enchanter target it. This particular example won't work with the current official emu builds, but it gives you an idea of things you can do to reduce carpal tunnel.

Aye I chose to make tons of hotkeys. Will try to get MQ2 going again later in September.
