Chromatic arc V.

'lo.

I'd like to get some info about this focus. I grabbed an Orb of the deep sea 'cause guildies pressed me to get it when I said it was interesting, but after some testing, it won't focus any of my nukes it seems (tried fire, ice and magic).

I searched around a bit, and I'm vaguely suspecting it's only meant for weapon procs (from what I read, and the fact there's a ldon aug for each resist AND chromatic). Very vaguely actually. If anyone could clarify what exactly it's meant to focus, that'd be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

This Focus ONLY works on spells that check vs Chromatic resist.
This new Resist type was introduced during Buried Sea expansion, and is not codded into Emu.
So, its totally useless atm.

Correct me if I'm wrong (seriously, I don't know if what I'm talking about it correct), but it is just not added to mobs' resists. Thus it having a chromatic nuke means it is basically unresistable?

We have Chromatic aligned nukes available to the players so it is coded in some way, no?

You can set the spell to be Chromatic in spell file, yes, simply cause its one of the available options, but this doesn't mean the Emu Server is actually coded to process the focus for it ;)

Just like a dozen of other spells effects that in exist in spell file, but do not work cause they not coded in.

Whenever it acts as unresistable- I can't tell ;)

A CORRECTION:

Chromatic is not a whole new resist, but a spell sub-class which was introduced during GoD expansion, to handle some UNIQUE bonus power raid spells. (Doesn't work anyway)

The whole NEW resist type that was added to players, gear, mobs and spells, is called Corruption. You can see it on SoF/SoD client player inspect window, but its also not codded in.

Chromatic Arc boosts the panther line thats why the orb and aug are semi valuable and a must have.

Thanks for the clarification, so we can force it on melees if it drops again, heh.

It's only limited to panther ? We got another yesterday evening that a SK took, I wanted to have him test it a bit too (Procs and me... hum lol).
Ed: scratch that, tested myself, doesn't look like it wants to focus ice or magic procs.

Clerics and Enchanters also have Chromatic nukes however they were never enhanced to do anything good iirc.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

Chromatic Arc also boosts the damage on mana flare as well btw. Not a bad item to have as a caster either (have the LDoN aug on my actual played toon Percolater)

sorry to ubury this old post but I didn 't see anything more clear more recent.
Can you confirm that "chromatic" focus only wrks for
- panther / lion / leopard / platypus and so on ... lines procs
- a few cleric - chanter nukes
- mana flare

Anything else?

How about other melee procs? For instance fiery strike http://www.thehiddenforest.org/webtools/spells.php?id=6358 ?
All of the good MAG / WIZ nukes are still unaffected by this focu whatever they are resistables or not??

thx in advance :)
