Crashing

Post#1 » Thu Jan 10, 2013 12:00 am

I'm crashing extremely often when I zone. I 3 box. Usually two, if not all of them crash. When I log back in, I've gotten a few time outs, and at the server selection screen, it has been blank a few times.

Any ideas as to what's causing the crashing?

It's been happening a lot today, to me and to quite a few others that have mentioned it in /ooc. You aren't alone!

Happens to me and it is very sudden. One moment fighting and next, maybe a mob summons and BAM one or more of my client's crashes. I wish I knew why it is happening, and i I can fix it.

Also after a death, especially on the bard, zone and disconnected. Not every time, but some of the time.

I'd be curious as to which zones people are zoning into when it seems most prevalent.

Let us know if you would still experience the crashing.

I'm crashing or freezing up quite a bit latley, I can't find a pattern. Below are the things I have encountered. On my end I have double checked my interent speed, reset routers, rebooted computer. Everything appears to be fine on my end, ping is the same as when I started playing, this has been ongoing for a couple weeks at least (back from a long break).

Client = UF
10 boxes, all settings turned down to the minimum

- From login screen I get a timeout or connection error, hit ok and try again and I can login
- After I login I just had a character missing, had to closeout and start over and character appeared
- After selecting "enter world" the screen can either turn black and freezes or I see the mouse working icon and frozen screen
- When charcaters zone they freeze consistently

This can happen in both static and instanced zones. After the freeze I have to X out, when logging back in the character is always in the zone they were tyring to zone into. I have tried to zone one character at a time on my end, I still freeze consistently. With all the memory work lately I'm guessing this is a server issue, are there any settings I can change on my end to make things work better?

Thanks,

Locis

Edit: This might help some, if the login server doesn't show up when logging in, hit the news button and then "ok" to go back, the server showed up for me after that.
