Gift of Mana stacking

I play a wizard that has the Gift of Mana AA and also the single player aura, and box a bard with him sometimes. With the bard melody going on, I have 6 song slots taken up, but I have 5/5 Mystical Transvergence or whatever it is that gives you extra buff slots, but the gift of magic buff is not going on my wizard at all. I don't know if this is a buff slots inssue (as I said, i have 5 ranks of extra slots, so I think I should have 11 song slots) or a stacking issue (running caster DPS aura, song of the orcslayer, a psalm, warsong, shield of songs, and regen.)

I'm 90% sure this is a # of buff slots issue - one I used to run into problems with that all of the time. I would have more song buffs going than normal buffs since almost every short-duration clicky falls under that category. If you're looking for advice, this is what I did:

Wizard with 6 available raid auras, several clickies, and a bard...
1) Right click and block any useless auras (Aura of the Mighty), and any buffs that are of no use to your wizard while you're at it. This includes rune procs from the melee, and other various short-duration buffs. [Pro tip! You can block the recourse portion of the warrior epic 2.0 clicky without losing the HP portion]
2) Only run 1 song on the bard. Imo every song is nearly useless except for the slayer line. So, I would always run Slayer's Destiny (which persists through silence if you're not twisting) and save the rest for rare occasions.
3) Sink the AAs into Chaotic Attunement if you haven't already.

I'm pretty sure it's a slot issue too, and I'll try blocking the things you suggested. I haven't bought the 5 chaotic slots yet, but I did buy the cheaper 5. From other posts, I was under the impression that each rank gave you both a buff slot and a song slot; is it a shared slot that can go to either?

I don't know exactly what you're asking here, but my understanding is this:

Mystical Attuning (the 5 point AA) expands only buff slots and not song slots.
Chaotic Attuning (the 100 point AA) expands both buff and song slots.

I could be wrong, but I do know that only Chaotic Attuning explicitly mentions both in the description for the UF client.

If my statement holds true, then here are your potentials:

Long Duration Buff Slots: 15 base + 5 aa + 4 aa = 24 total slots
Short Duration Buff Slots: 6 base + 0 + 4 aa = 10 total slots
