Well, my first character was a monk and I let em go shortly after 70...

I'm actually surprised that so many rogues responded, seems everyone loves their zerker, ranger or pet class =p

I really do enjoy this change though, it gives a baseline for dps if the mob is not responding to melee damage. On high ac mobs equipment or buff don't matter as much now...

Basically Socialism.

(not in a bad way)

The best part about it is that I don't feel as restricted because casters are getting a decent amount of resists, and unless they have an army to debuff, their dps is limited too.

Balancing at its finest.

Thanks guys.
Thanks for the memories.

.........I would like to see more(or higher) ac debuffs that compensate for damage though... Either through hard to obtain clickies or diverse line spells.

(comparing Peaches to Pickles)

Casters get the Tash line, Malo line, Bard Sound line and Enchanter Epic resist debuff clicky, all of which brings dps back to a normal level

(I don't really know what i'm talking about, but from my limited experience I see less partial resists and outright resists when casting minor spells on a dummy after debuffs.)

Melees get the Cripple line and Immolation, which dont really bring dps up for small groups.

Note I didn't include amplification spells. They don't solve the root problem and are currently in favor of casters anyways.

If I were to fix this personally I would choose an underplayed class and give them a new small debuff or increase the effectiveness of current debuffs slightly. I'd also put in a quest clicky with a nice debuff but semi-long cast time. The melee would have to determine if its more effective to cast the debuff and lose their dps or just charge. (not bard usable for this purpose!)

I'm trying to provide constructive feedback, I appreciate you guys.

Thanks :)

Just did a 3 min parse with Sosten on the t8 parser. With just donor sune buffs + donor legs and donor 1.0 clicky, dps was at 11,009. No discs used. I'll do more parses later when I get some time!

Edit: forgot to mention Sosten also has the donor aura.

What was DPS before is the question ;)
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

Toon used "Roms" webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Roms

Parses done on Atche T8 parser

Buffs used - Rk. III Focus / Rk. III Insight / Rk. III Hands of the Master / WoA / Donor Legs / Ancestral Power I. Auras - Donor / Mighty / Deathbringer

Before changes: 1 minute - 812776 @13.5k dps
After changes: 1 minute - 904431 @15k dps

Ability seemed very streaky, I ran a few more parses and came out with 13.5k dps most times. On the rare occasion I would get up to 15k dps. Seems like a slight increase in dps if you get lucky with the dice.

I would like to see more damage out of the T8 ability Hermit's Insight RK. I-III, and the Rogues Assassin's Chaos Rk. I-III. These abilities really don't add much to the dps the way they work right now and can drain your endurance pretty well on long fights.
