Hiho,

I wanted to know if it was possible to upgrade slightly webtools/items.php?id=121285 that drops from Ele lords in HoH.

Here is why I am asking that :

1) The effect is the same as BK ring from DSK1 (webtools/items.php?id=119750) and the stats are almost the same (15ac more, 40hp and some bonus).

2) The best ring, similar to that one, is dropped by Chaos as rare loot and is way better in stats (more slots, more ac, more hp, more bonus) and the effect is better (45% against 35% for the Elemental / BK ring). Of course this is totally justified that it's way better since it's Chaos rare loot.

3) The twin of that ring, dropped from Xmas event (webtools/items.php?id=121641) has more ac, more hp than the original one which is not "logical" if we look at the other hoh/xmas loots. Xmas loot were often slightly less good than original (xeru/chaos like cloak had one less slot for example) or at least equivalent.

So few ideas (which are just ideas!), considering that on all those four rings (dsk,hoh,xmas,chaos) allow to be almost perma using the disc when you have the right focus.

1) Upgrade the HoH ring to be like the Xmas ring (same ac/hp/bonus).
2) Change Xmas/HoH ring's effect to be slightly better than DSK ring. Chaos ring is 45% skill modifier, DSK/HOH is 35% so maybe 40% could be possible.
3) Nerf the Xmas ring so it has the same stats as the hoh ring and same effect, but then those two loots aren't real big upgrade at all from DSK1 boss.

The 1) and 2) can be combined too since, if you change effect, you can change it on both but also upgrade the hoh ring to be like xmas's.

I think Vaion replied in our sub forums at the time about leaving it the way it is. I think that we won't get lower then 2 mins on any of these disc's and as it is now its up 80% of the time, keep in mind not ever one who will do twins has BK ring and 2 more events down the road you get a chance at chaos rare ring

I read that post before posting mine, but that wasn't the purpose of mine exactly. He wanted the spell timer to be changed. That's not my point because, as we both know, it's almost always up.

I would like it to be in line with its twin's xmas t8 ring at least so it's at least better stats wise than the BK ring (that many people already have at that point, we both agree on that point).

If spell can be changed too (to a 40% boost for example : power of..nightmares ?) so be it.

You are indeed two mobs away from Chaos, but Chaos is another thing, and getting his rare ring is again another I don't think that they are so many people around who have that ring and of course, it has to remain the best dps ring, far ahead others

Hmmm Thinking it over.. I vote option 4...

4) Everything stays the same.

Reasoning:
1. As already stated < 2 min reuse is not going to happen with these because of the duration/reuse (I know you weren't asking for it but just putting it down before the blaze gets going)
2. The Xmas event is only around for 2-3 weeks a year. Currently (I just pulled the numbers) there are 23 of the Xmas rings server wide (4 of which are sitting in people's banks). There are 41 of the Elemental Twin rings. The Elemental ring is available the entire year long (granted you have to get the kill + luck on the drops - but still).
3. I like the idea of the xmas ring being better. I understand the majority of the Xmas drops were weaker/equivalent to their normal counterparts, but for being a rare commodity I like the idea of them being slightly better quality.
