I noticed after purchasing this yesterday that the effect does not stack with the proc. I was under the impression that a magic based spell like lifetap should be increased by a magic focus. I might be totally off base and if thats the case just let me know.

Which effect does not stack? And by does not stack you mean doesn't affect it?

Lifetaps are magic based DD's right? So I assumed that a 95% focus for magic based DD's would effect the lifetap, no? On my rogue with the other augments they double the damage of the aug proc.

Not complaining, I still love the aug, i just know that most lifetaps are effected by magic focus items.

It's not magic based so magic focus won't affect it, that's correct, but it's unresistible. Magic based lifetaps can be fully or partially resisted.

You can boost it with chromaic arc foci. While those are not as powerful foci as say dark or immortal thunder it is un-resistable.
