i was told earlier today that i should be running MQ the dummy server and wineq 2.15 ... now i presently run mq and the dummy server but i was looking for a copy of wineq to see if it worked better and for whatever reason all i can seem to find is lavish attached copies which require a password and account .... and if i am correct that would require a subscription ... that said i was told that you can get wineq free ..... so basically my question is .... is there any truth to that and if so where because i have apparently downloaded about 6 lavish copies so far identical ones from different places

is wineq like isboxer because previously i did subscribe for that for a few months to see how it went on live ....

i realize i am a bit gimp at this but if some one could be so kind to fill me in a little that would be great

You indeed have to register and create an account for wineq but you dont need to pay anything to use it. The fact you pay, I think, gives you access to more features. Some of them not being allowed here so don't bother doing it.

I dont think think any WinEq feature is forbidden here (even the pro version), at least i am not aware of it

Micah was saying that some of the gold features version of MQ were huge no no no.

Anyway, since I am a total n00b in MQ and Wineq, I'm probably not the one who should give advise rofl !

Nope he didn't said that about the gold features from the MQemulator build.
He just said it more in a general way about MQ2 that you need to be aware what and what not to use.

And in regards of Lavishsoft aka EQwindows/EQPlaynice/Innerspace/Isboxer .... the creator of it (Lax) was one of the creators of MQ2 too back than, but from what i noticed he stepped away over the years to have anything MQ2 like features related features from Innerspace official linked to it since he tries to keep his products as legit as possible so companies like Blizzard doesn't close him down.

ok i see i had to make an account for whatever reason my old one didnt work which is fine really i guess now i get to spend the day figuring out how to get all this to work together lol.....
