questions about my dps choice

Starting back up here, running war/shm/rng. I'm going to replace the shm with a cleric at some point so I don't need the cleric bot. Should I keep the ranger though? I see some are suggesting using a bst/mag/nec for dps but I don't know enough to make that call myself. When I last played, rng was recommended because /autofire was good damage and MQ wasn't allowed.

Another note, I don't really want to play more than 3 toons, so that is what I have to work with.

It seems that I asked the wrong question. I'll try a different approach.

Given the choice between bst and mag, who would you choose as a boxed dps? I lean towards bst simply because I've always liked their flavor, but I'm not sure if there is something about them that I'd need to be aware of.

I'm not the worlds best at Mage or BST, but I picked mage as a pet class simply for the added DPS and CoTH.

I cant really speak about BST's though. I leveled one to 51 for the Halloween events in WK and didn't even end up using her. I used my new monk instead


If it was my choice to make between Mage or Bst, I'd choose mage simple for the faster version of CoTH over the orb of the crimson bull.

I wonder if there is a dps difference between dps elemental and warder?

Damage shields might make up that difference though.

Beastlords as a boxed character are not all that good. A beastlord requires the attention of the player to deal out the massive amounts of DPS they are capable of doing. You can't script true perfection

That's sensible, I'm leveling the mage, I will likely level the bst some time, they've always interested me.
