Wouldnt be a bad idea to release them one after the other so will be less crowded maybe, or not hehe. Problem to release one by one is that you will lose time fixing bugs of what is released and wont be able to work on the rest. Good thing is that releasing one by one can nale you anticipate problems on next coming epic too and you satisfy some class ;) as long as warrior comes second, I am fine !!!!!! Joking of course...or not !

It was discussed about releasing them as they are finished, but it was decided to unlock everything at once so that it is fair to all classes. Also having all 16 quests active will reduce some of the tension on bottlenecks (which there are a few of!)


Forgot to mention also, 95% of the items/npcs for the quests are hidden from te clone until someone completes the quest for the first time :)

The new epics will have a slot 30 similar to all other Epics. Right now we don't have any intention to add a new slot 30 Augment, although if we have the time after the 3.0s are released, we may look into making some quests.

Maybe some specialty focus effects on them that benefit the respective class..../thinking hamster on

Update on release pattern of Epic 3.0 quests:

After reviewing how much work is involved in each quest we have decided to release the Epics two at a time. This means that the first two Epics that will be released are... drum roll please....

Cleric and Shaman

When exactly the release date will be is still to be determined. The Cleric quest is done (minus a few tweaks on the raid events) and the Shaman quest is about 50% done right now.


Each Epic quest will involve at a minimum the following:

o Three (3) steps in which players will choose either a Raid event (T8 Difficulty) or a solo event (T4-Solo Difficulty)
o One (1) step involving ground and/or foraged items (Yes the foraged items are tradeable)
o Two (2) steps involving items attained from the new Global Loot system (These items will be tradeable)
o Three (3) steps involving rare dropped items from Static Spawns around Norrath.
o Two (2) steps involving rare spawns that have placeholders.
o Three (3) steps involving tradeskills (All tradeskill items are tradeable)

Additionally, there are A LOT of steps involving running around/turning things in :)

for those with say single groups if we choose to do a raid fight and then we cant complete it, would we be able to go back to the npc and choose the t4 solo part instead, or would we just have to hold out until we can get more help to finish the raid fight?

There is no going back once you select a path. It's done that way to prevent players from intentionally locking down the raid targets if they are on the solo path.

There is a warning message before each path selection advising you that you cannot change your selection once made. If you feel that you may not be able to compete the raid event, then it may be smart not to choose that option. Also keep in mind that nothing is instanced/guild locked on the quests. So if you do choose to do the raid event and cannot beat it on your own, you can request/recruit help from other players.

so besides maybe the chance at some cool loot, what is the motivation to do raid path over solo path?

Doing raid script will allow you to skip some of the rare spawns of the solo script. So if you have the firepower, it will make things quicker, and in the same time, will spread players so mobs are available more often (t8-9 guild will do raid part and others will most likely do the solo version since there is no going back).
