That is the entire log? Doesn't have any fatal errors at the termination point. In fact from reading it it looks like the server registered you in game...

Ill try digging a little deeper and see what's happening. Have you tried a different account at all?

yeah, I created an account called eqdrak and tried that as well. same issue. After the character select, the game just stops responding and that music just keeps repeating . I have to forcibly close the app.

Doesn't help much, but I'd suggest getting a clean copy of UF. I grabbed a clean UF Steam copy, grabbed the community patch for it, and the THF downloader and was up and running np. Since you have an EZ sever copy, it could be some custom stuff they have that doesn't jive with the forest.

question is where did you get said clean copy.
As far as I know there is no legit way to obtain copies of it anymore, if I'm wrong let me know so I can get another clean copy as I lost my original's

Ok, so I got those files thanks Vai .. and I can connect just fine when I started off. but, then I ran the patcher and now the same issues.

Is the patcher not downloading the correct files?

after more tinkering I have narrowed it down to sound settings. when I disable the sound through the OptionsEditor.exe, I can log in fine.

When I turn sound on, then I crash when loading into the server after the character select.

Is there any settings that the sound card in windows 7 needs to have set?

You know I never would have remembered this until I saw this post but as soon as I moved to winblows 7 I had nothing but sound issues, even eqlive. disabled it across the board and forgot about it.

As for your desire to have sound, if you have a sound card check the maker for drivers. If its the onboard sound windows update should find drivers if there are any newer, however I would visit the manufacturer's website and check if they have anything for you.

Looks like an error with the voice chat option? Something that isn't even used on emu anyways :P Perhaps you can have sound enabled if you somehow disable the voice option. (showvoicenoticewindow=false in eqclient perhaps, with sound=true?)
