Familiar of Power vs. Minion of Chaos

So I used search and did not find any threads that discuss this.

These effects do not stack (Band of Eternal Chaos vs. Wizard Doner 2.0) due to effect in slot 1 on both being summon familiar. *unless I'm smoking crack, but thats the only slot with conflict that I see*
I understand if the staff response is they should not and will not stack, personally I don't see how the potential for "Slot 6: Increase Damage v2 All Skills 15%" would be OP on a wizard which is why I am asking about this. Don't even know if that would even help spell dps. /shrug

If making them stack is something the staff would consider, I'd like to see the familiar moved from slot1 to slot3 on the band. Yes I'm whoring for more dps and parsed through the spell file and that change = win as far as I'm concerned.

All of my testing shows that the Minion of Chaos buff has zero effect on any spell damage of any kind. Do you actually see an increase in spell damage? I had assumed it was intended to be a melee buff only.

Yeah I assumed it was melee too but never know and I didn't test it. Once I saw how worthless wizards have become I decided to go do something else.
Not going to roll up more support classes just to let a dps class be 50% of what it should be.

Hey Grey,

I remember when you played before on here. Good to see you back. If I remember correctly, you left well before MQ2 became officially acceptable on the server and might have missed the grand wizard armies. When people started running 18+ wizards for dps, things changed a lot and quickly. The nerfs might have been too drastic. I dunno cause I never played one before, during or after.

Two weeks ago casterclasses lost dps again compared to meleeclasses (focus enhancement increase the duration of discs)

If i had the choice again i would run meleearmy ...

Dont get me wrong, i love my wizard but their big plus - few attention is gone.
With MQ2 melee are easy to play and one click (command) gets the max out of them.

And yeah the time has changed, more and more meleearmy show up, at least our guildroaster confirm that feeling ...

Yeah I saw the item and truth be told the main thing that caught my attention was the chance to twin proc.
99% of my setup has been bc hotkey to make everyone assist me, attack on and stick.
because of that i tend to give casters and healers melee weapons with a lure type proc when possible. Outside of EZ I usually run encounter based macros, hence the love of eqbc and alt tabing.

Just for kicks I'm writing a macro to handle my groups and was thinking "oh I have 3 wizards" and now I'm thinking "oh I have a necro and a mage and a spare ranger I'm not using" and that Rk1 mage pet unbuffed was doing about 3x the dps of the rank3 nuking wizard with a bucket full of clickies.

Started asking around and basically I was told if I didn't run a enc to shelf the wizards and I'm not going to run another alt through the tiers just to cast one single spell so my dps can be dps. Asked 3 people if a shm would be good enough and 2 said no and the 3rd didn't know.

Wtb my wizards doner weapons x-fered to useful classes.

/rant off

recap: if the click stacked with wizard crap I would go back to equiping melee weapon with proc on it on wizard and if it worked, which I doubt, with spell dmg it would be gravy.
As is, it's not a issue, was just something I was curious about.
