I don't think the global drops are that problematic. I think the issue most have are the 2-5% drop rates on some of the quest specific drops (harnesses for shaman, velium for clerics for example)

I know way too much random stuff.

Hmm no Chaos, I think that Vaion says that overall droprate of mobs will be increased, not the global loot drops.
For example, right now let's say that mobs have their 5% chance to drop the item you are after. Well after 4th epic, they will have like 25%. And rare spawns will be less rare.

Edit : I'm tired, didn't read your post Nil :) We say the same things :)

Well over 6 days at 8-10 hours a day I finished the solo route. Did it get frustrating sometimes, yes. Did it get monotonous sometimes, yes. Was I proud as hell and stoked when I finished it YES!

ps: Of course I am retired so that helped :)

I felt the 3.0 was a bit mind numbing. It is nice to know that these will get easier as more are released. And I appreciate the fact that the THF server is releasing these early for us to have something to chew on.

I am usually not a burner of content. I like to wait awhile before I bother with new stuff. Bugs always occur, they are unavoidable. Mechanics can be off and cause a lot of frustration. But with these epics being the way they are, they are at least doable right now. And I am thankful for that.

With a lot of help I finished up my War 3.0 awhile back. I was so glad when I got it done. And I am trying to work my way through the cleric epic but it's hard devoting the time needed.

As I was spending hours and hours on the War 3.0 I kept reminding myself that this was an Epic quest I was doing. And that the reward would be worth it. And it was. A lot of these quests put in are very difficult and tedious at first. They will get easier as time goes by.

The only fear I have is once all the epics are released. How many world drops will be on each corpse we loot lol there are already starting to be way too many and we only have the 3 released so far.

It's limited to 2 world drops per mob.

Aye, Ydiss is correct. A single mob cannot drop more than 2 global drops at a time.

Am I right in thinking the world drop rate will also proportionately increase as new quests are released, to prevent latter quests being artificially tougher due to loot congestion?

it's already been said. Yeah, every 4 epics round around, the overall droprate of rare drops and spawnrate of rare spawns is supposed to be increased each time.

I was asking specifically for the world drop loot tables as these are separate and the more epics released the more congested the tables will get, meaning less chance to get the drops you need.

If I'm not mistaken, all that's been confirmed above is that rare drops and npc spawn rates are lower now to slow the completion rate until more epic are released. The logic behind world drops would be different.

If it's 5% rare drop rate now, going up to 15% once all epic quests are released, 150% difference, that's not necessarily the same scale to be applied to world drops.

Currently there are three separate groups of world drops, one for each epic. We can only see two per npc. There are up to about 14 or so items per group. Imagine the ratio when that's 16 groups of drops.

I don't think it's 150% :-)
