Good luck on this raid Rerfu. The only advice I can really give is to try to set up at least a 2 cleric CH rot with 1-2 patchers keeping an eye on the tank. Ideally you'd have 3 clerics; 2 in the CH rot and a third in the DPS group who only group heals the DPS and patches tank when needed. Also, he AE ramps so don't have any melee DPS engage until he is slowed or they will almost definitely die!

One more thing, I looked at your MT's weapon augs once I saw Nigrog post about his aggro. The best weapon/aug combo he can have at his gear level is this: Ykeshan War Staff of Order (Ykesha stun proc mace from seb crypts) with the stun aug from SSRA basement named. The other weapon is, of course, his epic 1.5 auged with the anger aug from Lguk and a tash aug from SSRA. With that set up I bet he will be an aggro king, maybe not good enough for Nigrog's donator weapon yet but in all other cases he'd be fine. Once he gets his Bloodfrenzy or Blade of Carnage with a stun aug then he might stand a chance holding aggro against that weapon (can't make any promises though!).

Again, good luck on your first run!

Our first run wasn't bad, but unsuccessful. Now having read your post I see WHY that was a problem. The dps group which consisted of me and a monk, had only a cleric BOT.. who seemed intent on not healing any rampage damage. Also I believe we were not able to land a slow during the fight, which would explain why I got to melee for 2 rounds and had to run away so I didn't die. Now that I read your post and got a few of these gimps in ventrilo with me, our next run should be a VAST improvement.

Ps - He was about 74% without hardly any dps at all on my end. Next time, he will fall!

One more thing, does anyone recall the exact slow spell that Tormax will not resist 45 times in a row? Malo first? What's the slowing procedure for him? Thanks in advance!

All slowable raid mobs have one thing in common; very high MR. To slow him you need to have your MT get the tash aug from ssra and keep it on either one of his main weapons, or put it on a weapon he only switches out for purposes of tashing. Personally, I ditched my tash aug once I was able to get ST augs. I now keep it on the 1hb w/ slow proc from Sebilis, and at the start of every fight I proc tash before switching to main weapons.

After he's tashed and malos'd, start off with balance of discord (70% 1.5 min duration slow). Once that lands, proceed with Turger's and if you still can't land it after about a minute try to refresh BoD.

You can also try to use a disease debuff/slow, but it's only about 40% slow and I am not even sure how high the kael mobs DR is. Personally, I generally stick to BoD with the exception of a few mobs.

PS: Try to have your DPS stay away from the tash aug, it generates high aggro. The last thing a DPS wants is higher aggro ><

Yeah I was definitely thinking about that Aug as I looked through the loot list for SSRA.

I ended up getting the sword from cursed, thanks to a friendly shadow knight, so no need for the sebilis 1hander.

Good to know we're on the right track though, I'm a shaman noob and it felt like beating my head against the wall trying to slow him.

The first Slow proc hammer we got went to my cleric (was better stats then 1.0 kicking myself again there). So I'll have to farm another one.

Thank you very much sir! That's exactly what we were looking for. I knew experience would come through and give us a little edge on doing him. Off to SSRA, and then we will re-try Tormax... Screen shots to come.

That's good but keep in mind that while it has the same proc as Bloodfrenzy, the Bloodfrenzy has a 100% proc rate modifier which makes it better for aggro hands down.

That exiled 1hs is much better than the seb 1hb though so it's still a nice upgrade!
