Population?

Was wondering where everyone is at these days? I recently came back and have been playing again but the last time I played the population was averaging 200+ I want to say. OOC was very active, I remember GMs being extremely active. Would see Micah/Lillu in ooc bantering constantly with everyone etc. Saw a post as recently January of this year saying population was averaging around 200+ a night. So I assume the current population is more of a recent development.

It seems to average out at mid 50s and caps out around 100 these days. OOC is not very active at all, usually a stray question very occasionally.

I am enjoying the server all the same, so not complaining by any means. Mostly just wondering where everyone is at these days, the place seems much less lively than I remember is all.

for me personally, just got wrapped up in personal life BS and work BS, always seems to happen to me around this time of year. Looking back, I always seem to be the most active in games during the fall and winter months. I still check the forums pretty much every day and I'm really excited about all the RoF client work that's being done, but I really don't know when I'll have the time to play again. Hopefully sooner than later. Hope everyone is doing well =)

The devs/GMs are still very active, just on test server right now :)

We are working nearly everyday on getting the new code up and running 100% so that we can have the best stability possible. We've fixed pretty much all the major issues and are just finishing up the last few small things before we plan to open the test server flood gates to the public.

As for population, it's always up and down throughout times of the year. Summer normally dictates a lower population and the launch of the new progression server on EQLive doesn't help either... But THF is something completely different while holding onto the core theme of EQ. That's why even after drops in population, our community stays strong :)
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

Yeah, population is interesting lately. I just took this screenshot. When it's peak time we sometimes go even lower. Looks like p99 is breaking new records while other servers lost numbers. Recently there were also new preferred servers nominated and players try them out but for the long term our playerbase is usually loyal and sooner or later they come back to THF. Our community is strong and while the DEV team seems quiet, lots of goodies are on the way. :P

I know I have not been able to play as much due to finishing up my Associate's Degree and trying to do as well as possible. Between college and real life my playtime is nowhere near what it was. I am excited to come back very soon though. As far as OOC I can only see it on 1 toon and I have no idea why. Everyone's filters are set the same but OOC seems to be buggy for me. And the 1 toon it does show up on is my Cleric who is only tabbed to when absolutely necessary due to hotkeys, macros, etc. I have no plans to leave THF anytime soon :)

Most of the people in our guild stopped playing for awhile due to the de-sync issues and lag. Anytime we got a few people on with most of their toons we really couldn't do anything which stinks as we have some in the guild that can solo box encounters but can't do them when we start adding other groups / people. Hopefully once the new code goes live we can test it out as it would be nice to have more people back on the server.

We also ran into issues where one crew could wipe out most of the encounters that we would still need drops from so we would log in and wouldn't have anything to kill.

I was having that problem Niixnec I filtered everything on my character from all melee and spells even my own melee. Kept my spells up spells up and it cleared up my Lag. The filters on thf don't filter everything like it suppose too most the things you set to myself shows everything. May not help but it worked for myself.

+1 on what he said. NV is basically Niix and occasionally myself now when I have time to play. Prior to the above mentioned issues there would be 8 - 10 of us online.

Not having any content to kill was also a major problem. On the nights I did have time to play all of our instances we could do were down / locked out.
