Is the Shadow Haven Automaton quest broken?

Speaking of automations, has anyone noticed he's slowly stopped healing in more and more zones? There were a handful of zones that it has never worked for me(sebilis, for example), but he's always worked in Shadow Haven, VT, ect. Recently he's stopped in several.

It may not just be specific zones. I was in Kurns trying to collect some AAs for my alts and my little automaton was healing up a storm. I killed everything off, zoned out at the bottom, zoned back in and resummoned the automaton, and he just stood there watching me lose health. I was having the same problem yesterday but after a complete reboot it worked again. Not sure if that helps, but thought I would mention it in case it does.
