Murphy's Laws of Everquest

I think we need to develop a set of Murphy's Laws for Everquest. I'll start the ball rolling with

1. Murphy's Law of EQ Random Drops:

If you need it, it takes forever to drop. If you can't use it and don't want it, it drops continuously.

The more people that are watching the more likely you are to fail every event mechanic in the raid, mechanics you would otherwise perform flawlessly.

Rule #3 : If you are after a rare spawn, you wont see a hair of it. Leave the zone and it will finally spawn after hours of useless camping.

Rule #4 : after hours of camping after a specific rare item or mob you are tired, out of coffee, and the wall is full of holes you’ve made banging your head on it. Nothing. Complain and do a petition and it will appear soon after. Or follow rules #3.

Rule #5: You can drink gallons of liquids and not have to take a bathroom break....Until you are in the middle of a boss fight.

#6. After finally getting the drop you have been after forever you will of course loot it on the wrong character who will have absolutely no use for it requiring the entire farming process to start all over

Rule #42 :A Divine Intervention never land when it should (no it won't ...). Especially on Death Touch.

Rule #8: You have planned and committed to a few hours of raiding with your guildmates. Your wife suddenly has other plans for you. Your wife faction goes from Amiable to Scowls in 10 seconds. To top it all off, that Rk.2 spell you have been hunting for 16 weeks rotted while you were off fixing the wife faction.

Oo,,, Ooo,, Rule #9: You've got everything on lock, all is going well, and you're boxing like a pro, and when this is happening, the cat you hate will undoubtedly decide to jump up onto your keyboard, and freak out as you do your best to remove him. Break in rhythm, major heal missed, agro lost, total wipe..... flying kitty.
