Rule #9

On the rare occasions when one's partner or room mate decides to tolerate your game play and give you dinner at your computer, they will invariably serve you finger food that is sticky, drippy and impossible to eat in the middle of an epic battle, so taco drippings, nacho sauce and pizza gets in your keyboard and your mouse is covered with slime....

Rule #10. If you have extra time to play then it will be inevitable that your internet will be down whatever extra time you may have had. It will then conveniently return to full working order 10 minutes before you no longer have time to play

Rule #11: If a boss can stun, it will invariably do so at the worst possible moment. Either before the tank can grab aggro (I'm look at YOU, Brood Father!) or when you're being slow about curing creeping doom (/rude The Chaos).

Rule #12 (gah there are so many)

If the GMs decide, in their beneficence, to nerf the hardness of a boss, the requirements of a quest, or the drop rate of a rare item, the nerf always will occur after you have moved on from the boss or completed the quest.

Rule #13

When helping friends who "need it more," all the rare loots you secretly desire will inevitably drop, placing you in a scenario of being a good friend or seeking personal satisfaction and accomplishment (while being a crappy friend). If you choose the former you will NOT see that drop again until you are once more in a similar set of circumstances.

Rule #13.5

If you EVER choose personal satisfaction and accomplishment, you will almost always wind up with one less guild mate.

#14 when life inevitably gets in the way and you take a long break from playing, so you find time to log in and say hi to everyone only to find all your friends no longer play at the same times they use to. And still you get sucked back into the world of the never ending grind.

Rule #15 (or 16; if you look we have 2 #9);

When you spawn a boss mob that summons help, yet you can handle it all, and then that RANDOM (cough cough) mob strolls by, joins the fight, and suddenly, "you have been ported to safety" or some such verbiage. You run back, and have to start it all over. Or, you see another hero killing the mob you left behind.
