Hello folks,

First off, I just want to say my friends and I are somewhat new to the server and are having a great time. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into maintaining it as a free service to everyone.

I had a suggestion specifically regarding Sleeper’s Tomb, but that may extend to other guild instanced content. As we try to gear everyone up for the next tier, we are doing our best to clear the ST bosses on spawn. As a result, our spawns are occurring later and later due to the 24 hour spawn time. The result is that we eventually have to miss a day because no one is able to stay up late enough to clear them. To avoid this, I was wondering if there was a way to put these on a 22 or even 23 hour spawn time. This way, we could do daily clears that wouldn't inevitably end up extending into the wee hours of the morning with all of our day jobs suffering. ;)

Just an additional suggestion regarding the prismatic guardian specifically. The final art is a hotly contested drop considering it is a component both for the epic 2.5 and the Final Word augmentation. Is there a reason it is limited to dropping only 1 daily? As it stands to get our guild 2.5ed up we'd need to be trudging around in ST for two weeks or more, assuming no one wants the drop for the Final Word. Since most of the server content doesn't seem to be targeted at staying and farming one specific zone for long periods of time, this drop definitely seems to be limited more than it should be.

I was thinking about this as well. A flat 23 hour respawn instead of the 24 hours +- 4 hours (i believe it is?).

I came to the conclusion for me, it's perfect. Get in from work, do my thing without the start time crawling later and later to the point of having to skip a night, but i have my own guild, so there's no competition.

The reason i think it's like this mainly to prevent someone spawn locking encounters:

1) Open zones - It means noone can have certain bosses on lock down. Noone can spawn lock something to prevent anyone else being able to get to it because of time zone issues (though it does happen, places like SSRA or PoFIRE are nearly always down :( ). That's fine, just make it Guild instanced right?
2) Instanced - As above. Not everyone has their own guild so there will be competition in the guild for spawns. I know of a few people playing in progression guilds who could never find a boss up, so opted to leave and make their own guild just to have the chance.

As a 24 +- as it is now, the guy trying for lock down might not see it up and therefore give the guys on later a chance at getting it.

I also found that in ST I had to split my clears over two days, like you guys found, to beat the "i must go to bed".. which isn't ideal as you're only getting half the loot. And as for your 2.5s.. i only managed to get 1 groups worth before i figured my 2nd group would jump straight to 2.8. The boredom of farming ST and the drive to move on means i don't wanna go farming there again, though maybe i could've / should park a COH mule at the Guardian.

All i have to do is find Fennin up and manage to kill him, meaning my time spent in ST would be spent in POA instead and getting better stuff.


Are you following the 1 box guide? Crazy helpful. One post on there says "Don't spend too long farming augs in Sleeper's Tomb, as in Plane of Air all augs are almost immediately upgraded". This is true for both the quested gear augs and the 2.5 > 2.8.

I haven't gotten the 2.8 yet so i can't say how easy it'll be, but if you can down Fennin during your natural progression and a bit of "fancy trying this guy", maybe youll be in Air and able to get the 2.8s before you manage to get all your 2.5s. Hell, as an open zone, maybe you can tag along for the hail and instead of spending an hour or two in ST to get your 2.5.. you can spend it in PoA and get 2.8 :)


Of course my thoughts on the spawn timers might all be rubbish, it's just what made sense to me when i thought about the same thing.

Thanks for posting from another perspective. Our guild is a group of friends and so we don't really fight over things. It's very similar to you having your own guild and simply looking for maximum loot output. I had not considered other guilds may have internal struggles for specific spawns and so maybe the current timer situation is better for them to spread out opportunity. That's probably a decision for someone else. For me it feels like world bosses make sense with variable spawns but instances might benefit from static (and specifically being slightly less than 24 hours)? Just my thoughts.

As for the Guardian and not staying in ST for long, wouldn't that lend itself to the argument that the final art should drop more? Otherwise why is it there if most people just skip it anyway?

I think most people park a CoH mage, zone in, summon down, kill the boss and leave.. probably about 5-10 mins worth of a run. I don't know or have any idea if most people skip it, i just plan on. I have the gear to beat Fennin (hopefully) so instead of taking an hour to clear down to the guardian, i can use that hour to clear air instead. It's just my plan to skip for my second group.. my first (main) all have their 2.5s, the second group are essentially just raid dps.

I'm all for 23 hour fixed spawn :P that'd be perfect for me too.

Another option for getting there quick is use a Rogue using hide/sneak with the Orb of the Crimson Bull from T2 - http://www.thehiddenforest.org/webtools/items.php?id=6393. Instead of perma parking a mage there just run down and coth everyone that way. It is a rare drop but worth having on pretty much everyone but tanks really because you will use it forever. Only reason I say not tanks is it shares the reuse timer with def disc rings. Could probably be accomplished with a Bard using Fading Memories as well if they can take a hit or 2 while running by.

Personally I skipped the 2.5s and went straight for the 2.8s. Only toons that I did both on have donor weapons or use both the epic 1.5 and 2.0 so I could use them in each hand/slot.

Any input from the guys upstairs about making stuff fixed 23 hour?
I'd love to have a bit of a routine where i could get in from work and kill stuff without it slowly creeping later and later until i either a) stay up way too late, b) do half and half the next day or c) skip a day.
I know it's 24 hours +- 4 .. but i never get the minus!

All bosses in Sleepers Tomb are now 22 hours spawn with no variance :shock:

Geez, thanks Vaion. What about other areas? I don't do ST any more so mine was more a general question, but a fixed respawn on the COH Orb Lady Mirenilla would be amazing! Since i'll probably be doing her daily for quite a while :P And just about to start working on PoAir too.. :)

You know, this is just another example of the responsiveness and support of the devs here. I really think there needs to be some kind of ad campaign to celebrate this.

It's great to play where your voice is heard from the ones making the decisions. :D

Necroing this thread ( :oops: ). This suggestion came again recently and I believe it's a fair request to increase the drop rate for the Final Art. Coming next reboot Prismatic Keepers will also have a 10% chance to drop this precious item.
