Downloading Custom files

I really love THF and it is the only server that I am playing on. Just make it easy on us. Have one thread with links to all the custom files (put in the thread updated 11/29/09) and put in our motd in game please download new custom files. (I am not very computer savvy)

If the above is done, give me all the custom content that you can dream up.

Yea we make it similar to the spellfile. IF and only IF everyone requires a file, we make it big bold letters in the newsupdate and update the motd.

Why not just make it a single zip you can extract all at once into the EQ directory. Chaos said it would be very small so always having to download it shouldn't be a big deal. Plus that would make it better for the end user who may not be technically savvy.

Totally all for the custom models and files, maybe even change some spell names or something give everything a sweet awesome THF feel, i mean the server is simply amazing so far and i love it!!!

lol but seriously the server is already one of the few out there that really displays it's GM's creativity and imagination, why not take 2 seconds to download a .zip file and another 2 seconds to extract it to our EQ folder? 4 seconds of our day in return for an even more entertaining EQ experience? Sounds like a good trade-off to me

Besides, i don't know about you guys but i play EQEmu not to play something that is the exact same as Live but for free, i play it because it's essentially a whole new game built upon EQ Live's lore and game engine. Why not build upon that at the expense of downloading a couple extremely tiny global model files?

Same here (although i didn't actually play in months, not to say a year lol). There are some people who are not capable to customize their eq build or are afraid to download random files on their PC which i can understand really.

I just want to say that first new global model effect has appeared in Warrens - those who obtained Orb of Dark Calling prabobly allready seen it in action =)
