Issue with Getting the game running

Hi all,

Wanted to check out THF, and I tried downloading two seperate Underfoots, both of which gave me the GUI XML error, I read through the forums trying to troubleshoot what others have done. However, I had no luck. I was curious if I can get this to work with the RoF Client? I am not sure what's going on with the underfoot issue. I did make a company of my RoF client, and I just get an application error, which doesn't allow me to go any further. I guess that means I cannot run that. Anyhow, any guidance would be appreciated!

Hey there,

We don't support RoF clients just yet (WIP).

Try to delete your eqclient.ini and let the UF client generate a new one when the game starts. It should work.

If you're getting a message that the UI isn't compatible with the default UI, it is usually caused by the download having been extracted with windows built in zip file extrcator. Try installing 7zip and extracting the downloaded underfoot that way.

Thanks for the reply, I just downloaded the 7zip extracted the files, and i'm still receiving the same errors. I went through did the patchme, all the instructions that were given on installing. ANy further help would be great. Thank yoU!

In the uifiles\default folder - how many files are there? There should be 500+, if there's less, it didn't extract properly.

Sorry about the delay. Under the uifiles default, there's two folders for default btw. Folder one has 508 and Default Copy has 478.
