Ro's Greater Familiar doesn't work

Ro's Greater Familiar, the buff that you get from the AA "Ro's Flaming Familiar", the second rank, doesn't increase spell damage by 35% as it should. It doesn't increase damage at all when it is the only source of spell damage from a buff (for fire damage, of course). Other buffs which increase spell damage do seem to work fine, like Power Potential II (100%) and Song of the Orcslayer (40%), those are the only ones I tested. Strangely, Gladiator Rk. I, which isn't supposed to increase spell damage as far as I can tell (I was using it to increase crit chance to make testing a little easier), slightly increases spell crit damage while not affecting base damage (63,325 without, 63,750 with, on a wizard casting Ether Flame with +120% total spell damage, 80% item and 40% spell from Song of the Orcslayer). Maybe this is affecting evocation which actually affects max crit damage? /shrug

I wasn't able to test the other familiars which give ice and magic damage, I don't have those AA's yet. Maybe they have a similar problem? This isn't really a big deal as when you're in a raid you will usually have a better source of spell damage from a buff than 35%, overriding the familiar, but I noticed it so I'm posting it.

Edit: The first rank of Ro's Flaming Familiar, which should incraease damage by 25%, does work.

Just picked up this AA (only rank 1 of Ro's Flaming Familiar) and the first rank doesn't work either, contrary to the above post.

Both with and without familiar, my fire spells are doing the same damage.

Just upgraded to Rank 2 and this also does not increase any fire-based spell damage.
I noticed with level 2 that there is a buff on the spell bar called "Ro's Greater Familiar" - I didnt notice this with Rank 1, i would say it wasn't there but i can't say with 100% certainty.

Necroing the thread but I believe these AAs are working on all fire based detrimental spells but the instant cast ones (same goes for the cold based version E`ci's). Also, item casted spells are treated different too, the focus won't apply.

I think that some tools which exist on live to make you nuke harder (be it the familiar or burn AAs) don't work great on emu servers because the way customization is factored in to make the base spell output much higher as on live. I suspect these kinds of AA apply their boni before the formula "boosts" your output with customization boni and therefore the global damage output is affected only marginally or slightly by these AAs.

I am not sure this can be fixed as it is probably tied to emu code, I had already a discussion with Lillu about a similar issue regarding mages (our main burn AA doesn't burn much so to speak). At least it would require looking into the formulas which is, I suppose, a time consuming and complex process, and the team is already quite busy with their projects.
