It's not that. I have every single AA that a mage can get to benefit their pet. My 1.5 pet currently has the following:
1.
1.5 Pet (15k HP, 200 max hit, Enrage, Triple Attack, Quad Attack, Unsnarable, Unfearable, Immune to magic and fleeing.
2. Max Elemental Agility (mitigation)
3. Max Elemental Alacrity (Flurry)
4. Max Elemental Durability (Hit Points)
5. Max Elemental Fury (Criticals)
6. Mend Companion (minor lay of hands for pet)
7. Max Replenish Companion (major lay of hands for pet)
8. Frenzied Burnout (pet rampage)
9. Pet Affinity (Pet gets group buffs and bard songs)
10. Max Hastened Mending (Replenish Companion reuse time shortened)
11. Max Pet Discipline (/pet hold (works) /pet focus (broken, posted about it) /pet no cast (broken, posted about it))
12. 35% pet focus (soon to be 40%)
13. 50% healing focus (causes me to heal for 2.6k)
14. Clicky for ToV robe that decreases pet received dmg and increase pet dmg by 50% for 30 seconds. Recast in 5 minutes.
I have max pet AAs and the best pet gear and spells for our level.... guess what my pet dies to? Rampage.
You seem to forget that some classes (Mages) RELY on their pet. Pet dies? Poof goes 75%+ of mage dps. We can't designate a real cleric for a pet thats retarded. Hell our pet is a mage's life! That defines our character. Our pets are supposed to be on par with non-raid geared REAL players.
