Misty Thicket seems to be down

I'm working on my solo aura quest and every time I try to zone in to Misty Thicket I'm rerouted to The Arena. When I've tried porting to Riverdale as an alternate route, the same thing happens. If someone could assist me in this I would appreciate it greatly.

Rivervale, Misty and Runnyeye are all locked until further notice. We are working on them for the upcoming Halloween event. Should be open again soon.

I realize I'm responding to a very old post, but I'm having the same issue. Misty Thicket seems to be unavailable. Is there a work-around for the solo aura quest that I'm not seeing in the board posts?

This is a 6 years old thread. Misty is not locked or restricted now. What exactly do you experience when trying to zone in?

Clicking on Misty Thicket from Elyse's list does not work. The message of her transporting you to another zone comes up, but nothing else happens. Zoning in from Rivervale causes a crash and I have to use the stuck character mover. A message comes up saying that I don't have the zone file. However, we are newly back to the game as of October and have a fresh ROF download that has not been modified by me.
We had the same issue back on Oct 5 and I petitioned about it.

Sounds like you have missing or corrupted zone files. Try to grab the misty files from another install/source.

So here is the answer - the misty thicket files are absent from the ROF2 download. They are added by the THF patcher, and in my case those files were corrupted. So fresh ROF2 and running the patcher fixed the problem. Cheers.
