picked up the quest and looted a sparkling essence of fire - it did not update the task.
the task lists them dropping in "unknown zone" - not sure if that's a problem or if it'd always been that way...
but very sad that the quest isnt progressing!


edit: trying to get another to drop to see if it was a fluke or not. no luck yet.

You can try again, the latest eqemu merge had a big tasks restructuring which removed some custom changes to not worry about a zone check for the pickups. I've fixed the code for the next reboot, but also added the zone ids for the task stages anyway.

If the zone name is showing in your tasks window (instead of unknown) now then you should be good to go.

finished collecting the essences. the next task says unknown zone so i'm kind of scared to do the hand in.

Yea i know where he is, but when I looted an item when it said "unknown zone" it didn't count towards progressing the task. I'm under the assumption that it may not progress if i hand in the pure essences.

Ah. idk I recently did the task within the last couple months and had no issues but maybe an update changed it idk lol.

well i got antsy and decided to try it thinking i'll have extras by the time i'm done anyway - andddddd it worked. so nevermind!
