Hunter Extraordinaire 30
Completed Quest: Head Hunter

dunno how achivements are looked at. but if you have that one....why does it say you need to kill them again...shouldnt it automatically say "oh raster is on that list...done" etc.

cause there is alot of stuff i have done on the list that seem wierd. like killing dain...i have 2.0 so i would hope to have killed dain. or obtain a 1.0

just my 2cp about some stuff missing.

1st post.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1559&p=8309#p8309

but basically it's because some "achievement triggers" were set up recently, and not all achievements are displayed based on your past actions, some of em needs to be triggered again (the kill type achievements).

and in this case, the problem was simply a misstype in the trigger script.

I think what he's saying Lillu is that if you have the epic 2.0 achievement recorded, shouldn't all the kills that lead up to that point automatically be triggered? Same can be said for epic 1.5, keys, etc etc.

Pretty sure he realizes that the achievement system didn't record everything to date, but rather is wondering if there's a way for it to recognize that to get your 2.0 you need to kill dain, so it would automatically give credit for Dain, AoW, Vulak, etc.

well, it would be quite easy, we could just check the 2.0 achi for all the needed kills as Dain, etc.. but since quests might change, we handle everything individually, to keep it organized and clear. and so why you might need to "redo" a kill.

I'm fairly sure the 1.5 and 2.0 quests won't change though, will they? Most quests will remain the same, not saying to do it for all but at least the major kills that are not easily re-done for everyone. I don't know, you know better than I would =p I just wanted to get Mazzic's point across for him!

yep, we were aware of the "issue" that players might have to redo things to unlock achievements. why we posted this info in the link above. I only could repeat myself.

maybe it's MY point that doesn't go across afterall :P

I see the point with it auto filling in the slots for the headhunters task since they were all kill credits but as far as the 1.5 or 2.0 you could have something like:

Magoo says out of character, Anvil of Dain rotting in icewell.

So this would be a false kill if you got credit for it just by finishing your 2.0..
