Razliyn, Shroud of Coercion

The part of this thing that is supposed to allow you to penetrate charm defense is no longer working on lots of trash in NC. Didn't bother testing it anywhere else.

If it works on other trash mobs then it's been the case forever in NC so let us know please.

I used the staff+robe combo in there extensively my first go around. I never ran into the "This NPC cannot be charmed" spam in there before. I haven't tried charming in for a few months, so I don't know if this is something that just happened or happened before and it went unnoticed. The mobs I always charmed before were the armsman or elite types types of dragorn and never saw a resist, now it seems they are flagged immune like bosses or the robe buff isn't working. I don't know which would be which.

Let us know if this is still an issue. We went through and double checked a lot of the trash npcs in some zones vs the ability for piercing charm (what the Ench donor robe uses). Only a handful of NPCs that are used in quests/events are immune to piercing charm.

If you find some that you think should be charmable, post the name of the NPCs, makes it a lot easier to track down.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...
Simon says.. touch the green one! Nooooo BLIQUE NOT THE RED ONE! zomg you just got me "Vaion Touched"!

Went into Nobles, charm worked on an armsman.
Went into Fire, Jopal Seer and Captain of Fire are immune. A random trash magus is charmable.
Went into HoH, Templar Guards immune.

Didn't test beyond that.

Wanted to reply to this thread with some clarification regarding the piercing charm effect. It does work now 100% of the time based on a few conditions. The piercing charm will not affect Quest or Boss NPCs and the charm spell specific level restriction still applies.

For example, Dominating Colors can charm up to level 73. Templar Guards in HoH can spawn at the range of level 72-75. So based on their actual level, you might not be able to charm them (the level 74 and 75 ones).

That being said, there are very few instances of trash mobs being level 74+ and even then if you feel like there's one with out of the line difficulty, please let us know and we can reduce their level as needed.

The supporter page for Razliyn, Shroud of Coercion was also updated with the spell level restriction disclosure to make it more clear.

And again, thanks for the patience and for all the feedback!

This is now functioning again as it did originally. Trash and named no longer give the message of immunity.

To be clear, the level restrictions were never an issue. There was always clear text as to what levels of mobs that charm spells work on. The issue was always that the function was somehow disabled, when it had worked previously.

One thing that actually might need to be clarified is what a "boss" is. This effect causes charm spells to function on mobs like Aerin`Dar, Emperor Ssraeshza, and Eashen of the Sky.

This is a good point, neither should be charmable as all unique named mobs are considered "boss" mobs.
