Strange thoughts, and it's not a buff. I don't see your logic, but let's just agree to disagree about dialectics. I wish you a pleasant journey in the Forest.

This is for reporting bugs/errors. Someone did just that. An AA is broken. This isn't a case of something being custom content working different than on live that someone is confused about. This is a case of spending points on something that doesn't function at all.

It was brought to light and acknowledged, and instead of that being the end of it, we got to hear about how great it is to be challenged, or how it must be complicated for staff because of "people". The problem wasn't people.

The issue is that we don't need a repeat of the past. Something happened a long time ago where some code was imported or merged or whatever they do and it went and wrecked the server. You couldn't have more than a few people in a zone before it became very laggy and unplayable. This problem lasted for a very long time. While it was going on there were voices, most of which are either gone or on here under other names, that started speaking against and labeling those pointing out problems(think woke mob). The server population severely dwindled as a result of both that type of activity and the fact that the main problem itself wasn't even being acknowledged.

We don't need to lose what few we have by doing it all over again.

Interesting story. To be a bit more precise, the lag issue was actually some weird thing with windows builds that eqemu devs weren't that motivated to fix because they were on linux. It affected custom servers the most but specially THF (we are on Windows server). GM Peterigz was the only knowledgeable coder to find and fix it, none else could. Yes, it took time, but he thankfully was able fix it.
IDK about server population severely dwindled because of this specific issue nor that we didn't acknowledge it (we even called this bug internally the "lag monster") but then again high server population was never our primary goal, rather having a friendly and fun environment where players can enjoy their adventures without having to deal with toxicity, unmatured behaviour or things alike.

I agree. Also, being nice and friendly to each other helps too.

Always does. Unfortunately most of what is on display here is just being polite, which is not the same thing.
