EDIT: Im actually positive the type of bear is dependent on race, i played an iksar shaman for 5years on live....

call me the shaman expert if you will ;)


there is no refrence in spell file about the texture type for different race, unless the hard coded that into source doe (I really hate when they do that!!!). But I could tets this game.

I honestly believe thats what it is, my iksar was a black bear i think on live, (now ur trying to make me remember!) but i never ever used bear form due to it being pointless. but im willing to bet 1k plat on this theory of it being race based ;)

There is actually a set of TSS mage AAs (Elemental Core line) that had VERY good benefits that i could give you if you wanted to apply them to the Elemental Form line ;) On Live these were separate AAs that added a buff to you for about 3 minutes with a 120 minute reuse (kinda short duration and long reuse lol) and had no illusion. The Elemental Form line was a separate AA (but was required to be maxed before you could buy these). On here you could apply the benefits to their illusions and change the illusion's duration and reuse timers if you do desire :)

Fire Elemental Illusion:
Current Illusion benefits (Max rank):
1: Illusion: Elemental
2: Increase Damage Shield by 30
11: Increase INT by 20
12: Increase Effective Casting Level by 5
Recommended additional effects (Fire Core) Max rank:
1: Increase Spell Damage by 60% (stacks with focuses btw which was the point lol)
2: Limit: Max Level(85)
3: Limit: Resist (Fire allowed)
4: Limit: Spell Type (Detrimental only)
5: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
6: Limit: Target (AE PC v1 excluded)
7: Limit: Target (PB AE excluded)
8: Limit: Target (Targeted AE excluded)
9: Limit: Target (Uber Giants excluded)
10: Limit: Target (Uber Dragons excluded)

Water Elemental Illusion:
Current Illusion Benefits (Max Rank):
1: Illusion: Elemental
2: Water Breathing (1)
11: Decrease Stamina Loss by 5
12: Increase Mana by 4 per tick
Recommended additional effects (Ice Core) Max Rank:
1: Mitigate Spell Damage by 50%, 13000 total

Earth Elemental Illusion:
Current Illusion Benefits (Max Rank):
1: Illusion: Elemental
10: Increase STA by 20
11: Increase Max Hitpoints by 200
12: Increase HP when cast by 200
Recommended additional effects (Stone Core) Max Rank:
1: Mitigate Melee Damage by 50%, 13000 total

Air Elemental Illusion:
Current Illusion benefits (Max rank):
1: Illusion: Elemental
3: Levitate (1)
11: See Invisible (1)
12: Increase All Resists by 25
Recommended additional effects (Vapor Core) Max rank:
1: Decrease Spell/Bash Hate by 80%

what i was thinking with bear and wolf form is to give them a short duration group buff ( like a 5% proc rate of a 12 second group buff that enhances melee/spell damage by like 5%), or in case of wolf form maybe overhaste or a group debuff proc or something like that.

on a side note what jeido said about project illusion is a wonderfull idea to give enchanters some great utility since you can only have one illusion at a time (could tag all kinds of benefits to diff illusions from casting overhaste to hate gain)
