I suggest scaling of experience rather than the group vs. raid![]()
In this view, a raid with 6 characters in it gets exactly the same experience as a group. 7 characters, a 7th less and so on. Once the metric is set up, proportional reduction in experience points, then pretty easy. If that is too difficult then maybe by groups.
Raid with one group = group experience
Raid with two groups= half group experience
Raid with three groups=1/3 group experience etc.
I have at times done the above informally by forming 2 or three groups not in raid and fighting with them. The group with the high dps group then usually gets all the experience. One can shift characters around between the three groups so that most of the time the group with higher dps gets the experience.
There is no reason I can think of why raid experience should be at the current abysmal levels that seem to target the level of experience that might be had if one put together an 8 group raid. A change in raid experience for a server that has most characters grouped in raids makes sense.
Anyway, many thanks to Devs for implementing the very important change in Shaman pets....it was sooo needed and it turned out so well.
