Posting my feedback on this thread in regards to the Dread encounter in Fear. I'll go ahead and just give the strat away here because I really don't feel like it's beatable without extreme luck in its current form, we did win last time, but it was only because we got DI to proc when we required it to.
Dread hits 10k, Death touches, and has an ae slow. That's managable, you still need multiple tanks for it, and hope he doesn't proc it a bunch, but nontheless, managable. What gets me is that he's got an add that hits for 7.5k with a million hp that also death touches.
I'm not sure how many tanks you wanted this fight to require, but at this level of the game, no one can tank 10k / 7.5k hitting mobs without defensive discipline unless you get lucky and have multiple healers on you. Lets say during the fight, each mob only death touches once. You're requiring 4 high end max geared tanks in order to tank these mobs, 2 tanks who will randomly eat the dt, and two tanks who can actually tank the mob. Rezzing tanks bank in who are capable of tanking them is pointless because their disc won't be up. If the mobs dt more than once each ( highly likely, and it happened on our last victory ) then you're getting in to requiring more high end tanks than 4.
I like the idea that mob's DT so guilds require multiple high end tanks, but I feel like the DT from his add should be removed, it's over the top imo.
Thanks,
Harney
