Happy 2nd Anniversary THF!

Happy 2nd year THF! Haven't played in a long time, but I still read the forums on occasion and noticed it's your 2nd year. I had a blast when I was playing here regularly and you made eqemu a very fun place and I'll always keep my copy installed for when I need to scratch that EQ itch. You have an a...

Re: Any plans for solo content post 70?

I haven't logged on for quite some time now, but I'm curious. How are we doing with any new solo content?

Sure, I'll do that, but also don't fault me for just going by what is mentioned in your own post.

Solo Player Auras

As a primarily if not exclusively solo player I was looking forward to the announcement for solo player aura quests. There is not a whole lot of solo player content on this server so this was somewhat anticipated. After reading the announcement, though, I'm a little disappointed. I appreciate all th...

Re: A couple of previously retail games went F2P recently

Ahh, Quake2.. one of the reasons that I came to love my first cable modem. This was back when I was pretty much the first guy on my block with one and my speeds were crazy fast. What a huge difference playing Q2 on a cable modem vs a dial-up. It's funny to think now but the playerbase was split betw...

Re: A couple of previously retail games went F2P recently

If it wasn't for EQ's harshness towards solo play styles, then I probably would have never left it. There is much that I love about this game, and much that I dislike greatly. Emu servers are less punishing than Live, so I get to enjoy my EQ fix without as much hassles as Live. But even here, you hi...

Re: A couple of previously retail games went F2P recently

The interfaces are similar, but that's where it ends imo. Having a similar interface really doesn't make something a clone. If something works, many companies will be inclined to mimic it. The core gameplay and style are much different I find. LOTRO has very few classes and very few mob types as str...

A couple of previously retail games went F2P recently

Everquest 2 ( Extended) I think it's called, and Lord of the Rings Online are both now F2P. I have played LOTRO since closed beta, and still have a sub (which gives me turbine points per month now instead of gameplay), and can attest that it's a fun game. EQ2 YMMV, I have enjoyed it off and on in th...

Wall of Slaughter and Noble's Causeway...no XP

Noticed today after these zones were opened that I wasn't getting any xp in either of those zones.

Re: Any plans for solo content post 70?

To me it seems like its an addition to Alt-P, which I am not sure why that would be even remotely an issue? People seem to enjoy the alt-p, and this would allow them to continue it post-70 as well. In regards to if your raider friend wants to help, then the person who is doing the solo content can ...
