Orb of the Crimson Bull

Why is the orb of the crimson bull a type 8 recast when coh recast is supposed to be type 19? as a tank it conflicts with my ring of the clawed guardian in that if i use that ring i cannot coh for an hour. i can't imagine this issue hasn't been brought up before but just in case it hasn't i thought i'd mention it.

well Tyler calls it a unique beneficial utility effect and i suppose that can be considered technically correct. but when you have a timer specifically for coh.. and the effect is coh... umm what else can i say?

it's your sandbox i guess.

Fairly new to the server and this is one of the first annoyances I took notice of. It makes no sense and +1 that it should be changed.

You have no idea how many times this has been mentioned, complained about, booed, rotten tomatoed, etc; but this is a rare case of devs steadfastly refusing to change something, no matter how many ask, or how much sense it may make :(

Luckily, this is a rare thing, and the dev team is normally extremely responsive and open to changes requested. Changes are often done on the request of a single player! Verant, these guys are not :)

Loot the orb on your non-tank and you will be fine. ;)

This is not an issue of something you "need" changed for lack of perfect functionality. CoH is obviously not something we can all enjoy. As Dia said, this is their sandbox, and if this is the biggest issue most people have, I think the rest of the server's content is a success!

Reducing the Ring's reuse timer would be a nice fix and help out those Hybrid Main Tanks. Reducing the ring to 15 mins or so wouldn't be too bad and would allow for those that don't multi-box as a tank to be able to raid tank and keep the CoH for when raids are over.

Not really on topic but since you posted about it ill go ahead w/ it.

Reducing the timer on the rings would be super overkill. Back in the day you couldn't even use the rings with each other as they all shared the same cast type. Now you can chain all the rings w/ gloves etc making for an extremely long defensive. That should be a perk for the occasional oh shit long fight, not something you can do on every single fight.

Frankly you dont even need it more than an hour (to the extent of my experience). Fights where you would need to double/tripple defensive dont really come up more than once an hour honestly. This is from my experience having done all of T6 as a shadowknight MT w/ 0 donor items. I have not stepped into T7/8 yet so this may change but if you were to reduce the rings to 15 minutes you might as well just give me an ability that makes me perma defensive because thats basically what would be the result.

pretty much said what i was going to say - this topic is brought up all the time, and revisited constantly - seems to me if this were going to change it would have happened along time ago.

not to be rude, but honestly if not being able to CoH for 1 hour is so inconvient, dont use the ring 8\. im personally just happy that we have the option of cohing At all, rather than having to run a mage around with my crew.

and yeah bomb there are definately some long long fights in t7/t8 hehe. reducing the ring CD would literally be OP to the max.

And remember theres always the option of looting the orb on a non tank toon 8). (think ive said that in almost every post about this haha)
