Monk Donor Weapon and its Mods...

I was just curious, I was looking through the donor weps and it seems like all three monk donor weps Fist of the Tranquil, Numinad, The Right Hand of Marr, or Nurikath, The Left Hand of Marr don't have any Extra Damages (Flying Kick). Where as the rogue donors, Razor of the Rogue and Flahran, The Dragon's Bane have Backstab DMG: +65 AND Extra Damages (Backstab): +100 on both. So dual donor rogue would have Backstab DMG: +130, and Extra Damages (Backstab): +200. Where as monks get nothing, they need class shoulders from DSK Dark Amice of the Tranquil or Nadox Epaullettes of Tranquility to get Extra Damages (Flying Kick).

Just curious why this is, seems like rogues have been getting alot of love lately...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the +Backstab damage on the Donor weapons won't stack with each other.

Also, I don't understand why you think rogues get all the love lately. They're a one-dimensional DPS class that's been getting trounced by pretty much every other DPS class for a while now. I'm sure they will get around to tweaking the other melee classes (Monks, Beasts, Rangers) that need it soon enough.

Plus, some players tend to hide and avoid posting parses so that their class won't get nerfed or tweaked in a way that will impact their established boxing group. Makes it hard for the devs to tweak classes. Parse often and parse frequently.

I believe Yaegar is right, backstab damage is processed differently than frenzy damage and flying kick damage. That's why berserker's and monks don't get very many mods for their special attacks.

With all the recent Rog changes though, the non donor Rogs I know do more DPS in 1 BS hit than I do as a monk in similar gear through a whole fight. :oops:

I haven't parsed a rogue but I don't see how they would get "trounced" by pretty much every other dps class, their backstab crits can hit 15-20k+ with fully augged donor weps, they can triple backstab and do it from the front with aa's, they get tons of click and their white dmg is on the same dmg table as all other pure melee, maybe slightly lower because of the base of their donor weps being low due to backstab... I guarentee if a totally geared out rogue with donor weps parsed up against a berserker or monk with equal gear/weapons he would be in line or ahead...

With all that being said, even if the mods don't stack, they get mods on their weapons...

Backstab crits for that high, but it's rare to get continuous backstabs for that damage. I don't know how many times I've seen backstabs miss or triple backstab crit for 700.

As a Zerker donor main with donor Rogue alt, I'm not worried about my Rogue ever touching my Zerker which has 10k crit white damage hits, and upwards of 40k crits per hit when disc'd. Or donor Mage pet's which crit for 10-11k. Or wizards with 500k - 1 mil nukes. Or... need I go on?

And why are you so concerned about +65 dmg? It's so little in the grand scheme of things. It doesn't act the same as weapon damage, it just adds a flat amount to damage after all the weapon mods have been calculated. Backstab for 8,500 + 65... yippie.

Monks don't have it all that bad, they will probably be moved to be closer to Rogue DPS, but you'll probably never be designed to beat a rogue in DPS. Too much utility.
