Ya, I agree with Melkor. The dropped weapons from the bosses should be better than the evolved weapons. Difficulty wise it is easier to obtain the evolve weapons as Melkor stated already. Also, A lot of people have these weapons all augged up and have been using them for a long time now. I think it is a harsh nerf to make people use distillers and/or re-farm augs to go back to the evolve weapon. If you must nerf the dropped weapons because of a future design standpoint fine, but atleast leave them better than the evolved weapons.

Thanks

I know it's not the dev's intention, but the reason I believe this is the bosses spawn every 4-8 hours now and the first 3 bosses (Volk, Sera, Draek) drop 500-800 points per death. They are basically perma-pharmed so you have a ton of points flooding the market and sitting in peoples banks and the prices on points has dropped significantly over the months. That plus anyone can afk during a 2x weekend and rack up a whole bunch of points. Getting a full set of evolved isn't as difficult as it used to be imho. The bosses require much more skill to defeat and there is absolutely no reason for anyone to use boss dropped weapons after this change, they may as well be removed from the loot tables (minus the 5% from draekon).

Just my .02 and I would love to hear other people's input on this!

Agree and offer another way to look at it. A new guild gets into T8 with nothing but T7 armor/weapons. There is no way possible to kill the bosses with out getting the evolved/purchased items, which either way you have to get points first.
You get those needed items, kill a boss and your reward is a lesser item?

That's a good point. Most people enter tier 8 and start on the evolved gear/weapons first while completing the solo and group tasks, then move on to the raids with their guild. I know I had a full set on my toons before even entering a boss instance. Looking at the Magelo's of guilds who have only completed the first and/or second bosses, a lot of their melee already have fully evolved weapons. Nobody in their right mind would even consider using a Zenu weapon over an evolved after these changes, and only five guilds have killed Zenu (The chaos doesn't drop a weapon) while even the newest t8 guilds have fully evolved weapons.

I have been farming evolved gear after recently hitting T8, and have not even considered doing a boss. I didn't expect to start doing them until my gear was fully evolved. If the bosses drop inferior loot to the gear that I am evolving, why am I bothering evolving the gear?

I am doing this massive grind to be able to kill the bosses to get something better (or at least thats what I hoped). Im not grinding because grinding is a blast.

It's not fun to spend all that time preparing to be able to kill a boss, only to finally kill it and have it drop an item that nobody even wants or can use as a non-donor group. Its one of my biggest reasons to not obtain a donor because I hate having best in slot before I even get to a boss and seeing that drop be completely useless to me. Its fun to overcome a difficult encounter and be rewarded something you need for your efforts. Its less fun to finally overcome an encounter and walk away with nothing.

I am relatively new to T8, and I am still evolving gear and I will be for a while still. These are my outlooks on raiding in general and not so much just T8. I haven't done any of the bosses yet nor have i researched their loot. I am going solely off what has been posted prior to mine.

I don't really have anything to say that wasn't already said but I'm sad to see this went live as is and I hope that something will be done to make T8 drop weapons worth looting and using over the evolving weapons.

I'll add that Lizirak, the Weeper doesn't have a water dripping particle effect as his name could make us think...

Or perhaps it's the makeup dripping

Stop complaining...and dying in the meantime ;) A more beautiful dagger will only make you die more often. This is not related to the main topic I think though hehe
