Hi, I think most off us understand that a nerf was needed, but when you nerfed many items so much that even seb and the Lair have better loot it's bad. 2 aug slots can't upgrade the items that much. Look at this lance http://www.thehiddenforest.org/item.php?id=17419 it drops from a tier1 worldboss and only has 1 aug slot 8. The dmg/delay is now wores than the mithrill twohanded that the king in Guk drops. Is this what you think a tier1 worldboss should drop?

If I remember correctly from live, if an item was to be nerfed a new item was created and the old one left alone which was then called a prenerf. I can understand that some items were overpowered, but after looking at all the stuff i acquired at least 90% of it was nerfed thats a pretty bad ratio. It would be different if these items had not been in circulation for so long now, which they have...to be suddenly decided overpowered. Alot of time and money went into farming for items which are honestly now to many who obtained them, worthless. Some items I can understand, but some I can not. The toeshaver nerf was one example. Anyone who has killed chaotic serv, knows that if you can kill that mob you can kill xegony regardless of it being the biggest scripted event on the server. World boss loots were supposed to be something worth working hard for and now my bags are full of boss loots I dont even use because of items being better which were obtained MUCH easier than farming world bosses. I don't blame anyone but myself wasting time and resources getting those items. In the future I will definitely wait an extended period after items come out before even considering going after them.

SOE has made MANY modifications to items in the past without leaving the "broken" one in play. Really there are only a couple examples of pre/post nerf items I can think of. All this is irrelevant though since this ISN"T SOE ;) Honestly though that's a great thing. ;) The only thing I would suggest would be a possible one time transfer on the items that became nodrop since it may have caught several people off guard before the changes were made.

Yea i might change the nerfed version to be attunable too. Not sure tho.

And no need to quote the stuff the 2nd time, i read it the first time. Quoting something that is wrong and calling it right, doesn't make it right tho.

I quoted it the second time because you are making it sound like it's me defining the difficulty here. The quote is from a staff member, and is stickied.

Tyler is saying that the Chaotic Swarm Leader is SSRA level difficulty, and then saying that Aesop is wrong in saying that the Chaotic Swarm Leader is TOV level difficulty.

Why then is there a stickied post that says the Chaotic Swarm Leader is TOV level difficulty?

The nerf was too big. A TOV level difficulty mob dropping a weapon that is worse or equal to a weapon your bot can solo for in Seb is too much. That's a TOV difficulty mob as defined by a post that is stickied. If it's not TOV level difficulty, please change the sticky to be accurate. Otherwise everyone other than the staff is working/arguing off of false information.

Just feedback though. If the nerfs are permanent, then no one who is at the appropriate tier will do those world bosses. World bosses by the way that only effect newer people on the server, not the higher tier players who don't need it to begin with (other than to twink alts, and in that case does it even really matter?).

Chaotic Swarm Leader dropping a 23/19 weapon though. Really? It doesn't effect me if they are nerfed, but to the stats of a weapon that you can get in City of Mist? Something more along the lines of 29/20 would be more appropriate. Remove one of the type 8 aug slots, and leave one in.

Personally, I think Tyler is very justified in his arguments. You can call it whatever difficulty tier you want, the fact remains that it's actual max hit and hp is the same as a lower end Ssra boss. You can't argue that one fact. It doesn't matter what it was classified as.

Now, in my opinion, I would have only nerfed the items a minor amount, but greatly increased their difficulty and spawn rate to coincide with the true spirit of the world bosses. I mean, aren't they supposed to be ultra rare and difficult, needing a raid force to take down? I would up their difficulty across the board, and bring their drops more in line with their "original" intended difficulty level. But that's just me.

Chaotic Cyclops
Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 2000 to 3500 - 2750 average

Rhag`Mozdezh (this is Rhag2, low end but not as easy as Rhag1)
Health Points : 600000
Damages : 1600 to 3300 - 2450 average

I guess that's only a 900,000 hp difference. Low end hit is 400 more, top end 200 more. You're right, it's pretty much the same.

Chaotic Fippy Darkpaw:

Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 2000 to 3500

Chaotic Swarm Leader:

Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 2000 to 3500

ToV bosses similar:

Lord Koi`Doken:

Health Points : 1765000
Damages : 1440 to 3600

Lord Kreizenn:

Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 2000 to 3000

Sevalak:

Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 1500 to 3000

Telkorenar:

Health Points : 1500000
Damages : 1500 to 3650

Zlexak:

Health Points : 1000000
Damages : 2500 to 3500

You used Dagarn, which hits as hard as Vulak but only has a million hps. 500,000 less than these world bosses but hits nearly twice as hard. I realize this isn't going to make a difference since by now it's pretty obvious you are convinced you are right and me doggedly arguing with you probably won't net me anything but a ban lol. But this is just the way I am when I think I'm right lol. Seriously Tyler, I love you and every staff member for making a kickass server that we are having an awesome time playing on. The 2 people in my guild who had the items are over it already, and we have our sights set on ToV loot, so try not to take this as a personal attack on you, because it isn't.

It's certainly not lower end SSRA boss level difficulty. It's emperor SSRA level difficulty.
