I loved vp on live so here goes no flaming.
I hope the zone would be instanced, and I hope the the key/quest to gain entrance isnt a huge bottleneck containing contested mobs.
I would love to see a hardcore raid zone, with depth and strats that require you to think and use all you have to bring stuff down. I do not mean mobs that DT every minute, immune to melee, or hit for insane amounts of damages but mobs that change while you are killing them. IE certain things happen at a certain % of the mobs health, not just additional add spawns but events that would require planning and preparation to successfully kill the target. I realize more scripting would be involved but its more exciting and satisfying killing these types of mobs. Part of the fun was figuring out the strat to each mob and after all the deaths doing so it really felt like an accomplishment.
Mobs can be slowable, stunnable, rootable, charmable, and still be a pain in the ass to kill, make use of the classes available rather than tank/heal/dps. On live raids we had tanks healers mezzers debuffers slowers kiters(yes kiters!) and even some wizards were required to spam spellshield to be able to kill some mobs.. I realize the numbers are alot smaller here but making more classes attractive(i know your already working on this and doing a good job) is really a must to get that big raid feel back.
Spells I was thinking about the new war disc which could be improved on for this new zone. A group defensive ability required to take down some bosses with insane rampages that would eat melee dps otherwise. Give this ability to a class that really needs attention like SKs or Pallies making them more desirable because they are required to take down such mobs, and loved because they make taking down other mobs easier. It wouldn't have to be as high as war defensive at 45% maybe 30% for the group and on a 10 minute timer, I dont think wars would complain about it and those classes value would go up instantly.
