Symbol of the Hidden Vale

So finally after a billion plat, a first round go error, and many many tears I win a casino grand prize. I was "rewarded" with a Symbol of the Hidden vale webtools/items.php?id=17911 which is a downgrade even over the other ldon buyable earring the loop of kelethin webtools/items.php?id=12605.
While the initial stats of the symbol are rather nice, the lack of a type 2 aug slot (like every other piece of ldon jewlery has) really pushed the loop ahead statwise.
The other thing to be addressed is why isn't this attuneable? Every other grand price can be traded.

To answer the issue regarding why it isn't tradeable is probably because it's purchasable from LDoN merchants, unlike the other grand prizes.

I do agree, though. As far as grand prizes go, a type 2 is better in the long run.

yeah i actually saw this item and seeing that it is no drop and it is not as much ac as an auged up loop.. and the focus is chaotic when the best aug focus is true it actually made me NOT want to gamble. i don't really gamble often myself but this prize makes it easier to resist the casino. i suppose there is the fact that you could sell the earring to a ldon vendor if it wasn't no drop but what would you get outta that? 2 or 3k pts maybe? unsure on the cost of the earring but i think they give u 66% of the whole sale price. still who would trade in what is generally hundreds of thousands of plat for 2 or 3k ldon pts? i am sure they'd rather sell it or put it on an alt. the gate isn't even really a draw because it is 1 second faster than a token that costs 25 points.

i think peoples ideas of adding a slot 2 or making it dropable would be a good quick fix and make it a lot more useful.

There is a fail safe in the casino. Since all the prizes are lore i know it checks to see if you have one before awarding your prize. For me since this prize is so underwhelming i just spent the points on one threw it on a bot and when i have win a ticket just take it off my bot before i hand in the ticket so far its assured me not getting this prize out of 4 tickets so far.

Only good point so far is the focus inconsistency. That will be fixed.
Other than that, it's a pretty uber item, with no level restriction.. and no it didn't meant to be an upgrade to everything ingame. Pretty funny to read about "underwhelming" items when others saying the opposite (some items are too OP from casino).
As always we can't make everyone happy (we try or beat however). Some will find the prizes underwhelming while others will want them badly.

Hello Lillu, thanks for the reply. My argument wasn't for it being the most uber item in the game, it was the inconsistency between the two items. Loop is a 2400 ldon point item, and Symbol is a 4500 point item. The loop is hands down better because of the type 2 slot. Thats the issue, that an item you can spent half the points on is significantly better. I understand that it is a casino and as such is about chance, but once on the grand prize stage it would be nice if one of the prizes wasn't a no-trade kick to the groin.

-How or why these items are even open for comparison to be adjusted boggles my mind, your gambling you get what you get.
-These items can be obtained with a lucky level 1 with his/her first 151 plat iirc.
-Its not based off your gear or what npcs you have killed or even how much plat you have spent, its pure luck of the roll.
-No hidden "tricks up the sleeve" to restrict winners from winning again or anything like that.

-Remove or exchange all no drop to tradable dont even waste time with attunable.
-Remove or exchange all items to not match any quest or npc dropped items.
-Remove all top tier comparable items and replace with items desirable to all for other reasons than stats like clickies with portable banker, non-instanced teleporter, Sune in a bottle ect. (<--ideas welcomed)
