Can not loot Mystical Essences in Air

My guild and I (Randal lv 70 mage) were in air and we killed the 4 avatars, and I tried to loot 2 of the Mystical Essences and it would not let me. It said "You may not loot an item while you have an item on your cursor."

I was able to loot Mystical Essence of Smoke and of Wind, but not Dust and Mist.

I checked my bank for duplicates and there were none.
I checked to make sure I had empty invetory and I did.
I hit distroy to make sure nothing was hidden on my cursor.
I summoned an Item and distroyed it.
I summoned an Item and autoinventoried it
I camped out to log in.
I camped out and shut down Everquest completly and restarted it.
I zoned out and back in again.
