I hate that my first post is going to be not going to be all rainbows and butterflies, but the other posts I've been meaning to make are a lot longer than this one. This one is also a bit more pressing for me, personally.
Let me start by saying that I love this server, the community, and the developers I've interacted with. THF is by far one of the best, most engaging Emu servers I've ever played on, and I've been playing on Emu for 5+ years. Considering that, you can imagine my surprise when I started my cleric's 3.0 to only find out that it was a grind, and a particularly brutal one at that. If you get unlucky, you could spend days on each task, and that is assuming that you are killing all day, everyday. I, personally, play for fun, and not one aspect of this quest is fun (that I've encountered; rumor has it the raids are fun). One of the best parts about THF is that timesinks aren't really a thing here. Sure, upper end aug/point farming and such might seem like a timesink, but you can do it with friends, it's constantly rewarding, etc. This is the only absolute, devoid of fun and purpose timesink I've encountered on this server, and I don't really understand why that is the case. Epic quests should involving killing epic monsters and be an epic journey (the 1.5 and 2.0 both felt like this, as much as they could), not an epicly soul-crushing timesink. As a main, non-donor cleric (you heard right), I am not in any position to pass up getting the epic, for the click alone. To be clear, I am not asking for this quest to be easy or short. Shoot, I'd rather have to clear DSK3 repeatedly than sit here for weeks on end hoping I get lucky. What I am asking for is a quest that reflects what has been set forth as the precedent for how this server is run (which can totally include, to some small extent, time-sinky farming). I know you guys are super busy, and I'm not trying to stomp my feet to get my way, so I'd like to offer solutions in an attempt to be proactive. I will happily write a challenging quest for you (minus the coding, which is half the work, I know), one that you can even use as a mold for all classes (since it seems odd only 3 classes have their 3.0s, especially considering the quests all seem to be farming timesinks). This would relatively easily add more, accessible, enjoyable content for people to engage in. I hope this at least sparks a discussion. I know population has been low lately, but I love it here and want nothing more than to see us thrive. Thanks for listening/verbally decapitating me.

P.s. I'm sorry if this necroed something that has been talked about before; searching these forums aren't easy, since the threshold for what is considered "too common" is very low in the search bar. Even if necroed, I'd still like to have a new discussion about it.
