If you've never done the in-game sync before then you need to do so regardless to use the THF loginserver (whether Titanium or UF). But you can change your eqhost.txt to

Host=login.eqemulator.net:5999

and that should let you login via the EQEmu loginserver on UF+.

this worked. must have had a brain fart.. i forgot how to set it up so I just put in what it said in the start up guide. thanks for the fix!
