THFDownloader issue

Got a new PC... did a new install of SoD since my audio triggers were broken before rather than copy/paste the folder.

New install fixed my audio triggers... did some grouping with outdated files for a few.

Updated files with THFDownloader... when using #auracast now my other group members will not get the buff. The spell emotes show up, the spell particles get casted on everyone, the buff does not land and the stats do not get applied. This worked prior to running the updater.

I will however get the buffs if other people who have the raid aura and use #auracast.

I have installed a working copy of SoD again, tested #auracast and it worked once more. I moved over ONLY the spells_us.txt file from my recently patched SoD folder and #auracast is broken again.

Something in the spells_us.txt file is causing this.

Hmm that's a weird one.

Couple questions:
1) is your toon that you use #auracast on get the buff?
2) are your other toons in the same group as the one you are using #auracast with?
3) are your toons within casting distance (100yd)?
4) are your toons in a raid?
5) are your other buffs working fine?
6) toon name using #auracast?
7) which aura do you have?

I know some are prolly redundant but it will help track down the issue faster.

Noticed the same issue for over a week now as well.

For my one group I have donor + stronghold, mighty, deathbringer, bloodmage and witchdoctor.
Other group has one of each of the raid auras

I seem to get the aura of the character and the 2 aoe auras. Donor aura also seems to hit group. Group auras are not showing up in the buff window.

The characters may be getting the buff, get the worn off message if I wait for recast time and cast again. This was with a character that has mighty as the aura.

Are you on SoD client as well Nix?

Also when the aura's refresh on normal timers (the 10 min cycle) does it get casted on all group members?

When I first log in they all already have the raid aura cast on them/it does the zone refresh rebuff.

2. Yes
I have four group members; 3 with raid aura and the fourth with out.

3. Yes
They're all within trading distance.

4. Yes and No.
I have tested this with everyone in a single non raid group.
I have tested this with everyone in a single raid group.
I have tested this with everyone in a different raid group; two per group.

5. Yes
Sune arms, normal single target clickies, and group buff clickies all work OK. I have tested with TGB on and off with no change to #auracast.

6/7. I have three characters each with different raid aura.
Trollinguhard > Aura of the Mighty
Healthetroll > Aura of the Stronghold
Petwhisperer > Aura of the Death Bringer

Test server has been updated with the latest code and spell changes which includes a fix for this issue.

Please jump over to viewtopic.php?f=124&t=9214&p=53998#p53998 and download the latest spell file for the TEST Server. DO NOT USE THIS SPELL FILE ON LIVE OR YOU WILL ENCOUNTER ISSUES.

I was playing around in the guild hall and found something else to note. I had my cleric cast Aura of the Stronghold and while attacking the target dummies I was still able to proc the rune buff w/o the actual aura buff.

Was this on the test server after the update?

No that was on the live server, sorry.

Just tested the updated spell file(from your link above) on the test server. The aura's are over writing each other, I can't have more than one active at a time... at least shown in the buff window.

EDIT:

OK I followed these steps for troubleshooting on the test server.

I logged in my ranger(has no aura) and recorded his AC from inventory and mystats. I followed by logging in my warrior and recording his AC as well. I logged in my magician with aura of the death bringer and recorded my AC increase on the warrior and ranger. I logged on my cleric and followed the same AC recordings with aura of the stronghold. I found that death bringer is an AoE aura while stronghold is not. I followed this by grouping everyone together(they were ungrouped prior) and used #auracast to force recast both stronghold and deathbringer with no changes in AC for inventory, see stats below. I had the magician cast his aura last to have death bringer shown as the active aura buff in the songs window. I attacked the test dummies and the rune proc from stronghold still procs on the test server as well.


Ranger:
Base: inventory 9347 / mystats 9198
Death Bringer: inventory 9789 / mystats 9639
Stronghold: inventory 9789 / mystats 10080

Warrior:
Base: inventory 15035 / mystats 15724
Death Bringer: inventory 15478 / mystats 16165
Stronghold: inventory 15478 / mystats 16606

Outside of the ranger having a lower AC from mystats versus inventory, you can note that after casting stronghold the inventory AC doesn't calculate the AC buff but mystats does.

At least now I'm getting the AC increase to be seen from mystats and the rune proc is working once more. In the spell description it says its supposed to increase AC by 1500, using MQ2 it states an increase of 449. I'm seeing an actual increase of 441.

EDIT 2:

I used the test server spell file on the live server and the got the same results across the board... except my AC is 10 higher on live.
